| 2024-11-17 |  | | After reading the reviews of this app I was honestly second guessing my decision to go with Z Grills for my first pellet grill. However, I had absolutely no issue setting up the app or connecting with the grill. I started using the grill right away and had no problem controlling or monitoring temps. Today was my first big smoking effort with two pork butts and everything, including the app worked perfectly for 12 straight hours. I controlled the temps and probe alarms remotely without issue. |

When you log in, there is a "I accept license" checkbox hidden below the keyboard and a non-identical error message, and it goes downhill from there! I had to download the old app to connect my grill. This app failed to give me a notification when the food probe indicated the set temperature, end the list goes on and on... |
| 2024-10-12 |  | | This version connected easier to my device and that along with it being more responsive, makes it an "upgrade". Unfortunately, there is a function missing that really bums me out, I used to be able to schedule target temp changes when a target temp was hit or a time parameter was reached without interacting with the device or the app. This set the zgrill apart from other pellet grills and I loved shutting down sales pitches with that bit of info. Now it's just another pellet grill app. |
| 2024-10-06 |  | | It's 2024 and can't connect to the app. Bought a brand new Z Grills smoker, specifically for the wifi app upgraded feature. But ruined my weekend for smoking, not able to use the smoker because I now have to return it. Support is only open M-F. Really need to do better Z Grills. The app not connecting shouldn't be this hard to make work. Either that or just don't offer the app and people won't waste their time and money on your products. |
| 2024-09-21 |  | | Got my brand new Z grill and excited to get it all working. Ok soooo 1st off ... Love the hardware. The software (app) not so much. I am an Aerospace engineer sooo I have done these things before. Tried for about an hour to get it to connect to Bluetooth. No dice. Read another post about loading the old app and upgrading the firmware on the grill then switching to the new app Tried that, tried all the trouble shooting tips. No dice 😞 Even created a separate 2.4gh channel on my router |
| 2024-09-15 |  | | I wish I could give this app zero Stars. I have installed it and uninstalled it about 10 times. I have tried creating a new account with a different email address and password, etc. It freezes, it lags, it spins, it does nothing. The few times I have gotten it to actually recognize my smoker and start working, it just again freezes and does not provide communication with my smoker. I spent an extra $100 on a smoker unit with Wi-Fi, so as to avoid using Bluetooth. And this app still sucks. |
| 2024-09-15 |  | | I had to use the old app and update the firmware on the grill before the new app would connect. Once that was done the app connects every time and displays the correct temps. I haven't tested the temp alarms on the app to see if they work. Not happy about the ads in the recipe portion of the app but as far as accurate temp monitoring it works great. |
