Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that on the rt6600 router if you change the ports from 8000 or 8001 to something else then the app fails to connect to ddns name or ip of router. Seems spp is solidified with using only 8000 or https 8001 only? |

Now it takes a minute to open, and every action within the app takes about 20-30 seconds to load. You can't see device IP addresses in lists, so you have to open every device to check addresses. |

These settings are nowhere to be found in the App that I could locate. The app is good for looking to see what devices are connected to the router and for an overview of internet connectivity. A good app should allow one to edit virtually any of the router's settings that you can do via the web portal. This app is extremely lacking. |

Tried for hours to get it to work....no luck. Downloaded the synology secure app as was suggested but that was useless and screwed up the capability to log into my synology account. Any attempt to contact for tech help only led to some useless knowledge area or youtube which was zero help |
| 2023-03-27 |  | | If this router's parental controls would let me have unlimited domain spots I'd give it 5 stars. I love the way it let's me set up filters to block all and then approve access as my child visits the sites that I want to allow, but alas it has a max amount of "allow" that you can use then is says "number of domains has reached it's limit". So many websites require multiple "other" sites just to run the main web page and it fills up the allowed domain section real fast. |

It allows me to do everything I need to do with the router without having to login using the web based authentication. It also lets you trigger firmware updates from the app. The parental controls have a wide range of features/options that are all controllable via the app. It's the main reason I made this choice on the specific router. No complaints here. |
| 2022-11-11 |  | | not as good as webgui. the webgui is far more powerful and has many more options than the app. annoyingly you can't use the webgui from a mobile. The app is getting better each time, but still has a number of limitations. Please work on the app to bring more of the main features in as the filtering and functionality of Synology routers are excellent! |
| 2022-06-28 |  | | the Safe Access section is awful. I came from a Google Nest wifi, and while that system had it's own problem, I was able to set blocked time from 7pm - 5am. This acts like I can't set a reward time past midnight or anything. It is brutal. it would also be nice to be able to set up multiple schedules for the same devices. right now, for me, this whole safe access section is useless. I really want to like this, but it is not working as it should, in my opinion. |
