2024-08-18 | Nick Chappell | This app use to be great but this years updates have ruined it. I use to be able to see lifetime stats and averages but now none of the numbers in the stats section make any sense. The GPS also does not work as well as it use to - I use to be able to click on the green and it would give distances to different parts of the green, but it either no longer does this or the feature just does not work. If I could go back to the precious version I would, it was perfect.
2024-07-08 | Doug Payne | Great app. The 2 stars are for the change in on price. I thought when I signed up 6 years ago it was supposed to be grandfathered so long as you stayed signed up. Turns out that's NOT the case. HUGE bump in price this year. I'll have to reconsider it I keep it or not. Only being able to play roughly 6 months out of the year.
2024-06-01 | Garilyn Truttschel | Reading recent reviews I see that the latest update is not just my problem. Have been using swingu for years loved it. This season garbage, doesn't change holes automatically, have to uninstall and reinstall to get it corrected. Very disappointed will be looking for new app. I know you will tell me to contact support, I think you need to put effort in correcting this last update.
2024-04-28 | Doug Fulton | Used the free version for many years until I started playing more, then switched to the Plus version last year. Thinking about going to the Pro version for the drills... All in all, I like the app. I constantly check to see how accurate it is with my friends who have rangefinders. It is always within a yard or two. When the 'plays like' number is way different, its like a heads up that I should be thinking about something. It's usually right. Understand, it is a phone app not a caddy.
2024-01-15 | Ken VH | Used this app since 2013. Good at first but now ...Can't reliably save rounds. Advice from tech support: delete and reinstall app after every round! Also poor integration with watch app. I have GW6. Also can only delete prior rounds slowly and one at a time - thought that might help saving current rounds but with almost 1000 rounds logged not a feasible alternative. So, after all these years...Adios! Trying a couple other apps that have auto shot tracking and much better integration with watch.
2023-05-27 | Connie Osborn | Uses about 25% more battery than other apps I have used. Also, other free apps allow you to record whether your drive is in the fairway. This one does not give you percentage of fairways hit or percentage of greens in regulation. Used it the day of your last update. It now uses even more of my phone's battery! Wasn't sure I would finish my round before my phone died. Other apps I've used would require no more than 30% of battery usage, now ir is using almost 80%. You sure didn't improve it!
2022-09-07 | M. T. | Sand Valley and Mammouth in Wisconsin is freezing the app before letting open. It says, " This app is causing major issues, please contact support". Major is not an understatement. The only way around this issue is uninstal and reinstall the app. Please fix asap and let me know when it's done via email. Premium subscription! Thanks.
2021-07-11 | Clark Holborn | This is quite honestly a very good and easy to use app at no cost. (IF you feel that your time is of no value). Just so you know--you might be disappointed by the numerous interruptions during your round of golf for advertising and the almost countless emails you'll receive with the seemingly endless offers on how to "SAVE" (by spending money). You'll have to decide if your money is worth more than your time. Cheers!
2021-05-11 | Tiki O | Five years ago ... this app was reliable. Because of that I became a premium user. It's interface for GPS was accurate, good basic yardages, connectivity was never a problem, the scorecard was basic but still functional. (Scorecard functionality is average.) NOW IT'S A MESS. I'd be stupid to keep this for another year much less pay a bloody premium. Once again, their bot will ask for feedback ... all they have to do is read recent reviews.
2020-08-05 | Matt K | Used to be good when it was SwingxSwing (instead of the swing u branding), uninstalling as there are too many ads/popups. I just want a simple app to keep my score, and tell me distance to the hole. This app has just become buggy. I had attempted to use it at the course the other day, and it couldn't even detect where I was. And before you say it, yes permission for location/GPS was enabled. Just not worth the aggravation in my opinion. |
