Not even close to normal comprehension for second graders, right off the bat. Making things more difficult than they can handle doesn't help them in the slightest and only frustrates them more, makes them feel inadequate, and stunts their progress. Wouldn't recommend unless your child is at LEAST in the middle of 3rd grade.
