2024-12-04 | J Falcon | There's a lot to like about this app. From the wide variety of activities it can track to the analytics and partner services to the heat map for planning routes, it all works together seamlessly. While it can track activities stand alone, it provides the best data when paired with a Suunto device. Opportunity for improvement, I'd like more details from the sleep tracking.
2024-11-13 | Brian Stewart | Disappointed ... most recent update requires health and location data (even when app not in use) to continue to function, and locks users out of app and collected data until agreeing to new terms. It seems like it basically bricked the expensive watches - without giving existing users that may have had issues with sharing this type of info any advance notice, or option to opt out. I think it's an overreach and hope Suunto reconsiders... For me personally, I've lost maybe 8 years of data....
2024-10-28 | D M | I've been using Suunto for eight years now but they just updated their app to where it REQUIRES your GPS data (even when the app is closed or not in use) and your health data (including menstrual cycles...??). Extremely invasive and concerning to make this information required. PLUS we can't access the app OR our old workout information unless we agree to those terms. The only other option is to delete everything. I will be selling my Suunto watch and going with a different brand. Goodbye.
2024-09-30 | mike grayum | If the app would communicate data back to connected devices it would get 5 stars from me. For example, if I record and activity using the app or me old, trusty Ambit 2S, the data related to activity time, recovery time, etc, recorded/uploaded to the app should transfer forward to me 9 Peak the next time I sync; currently it does not.
2024-08-26 | Keith Williams | I am a scuba diver and just got a suunto ocean. I thought this app was working great but it has a few flaws that are really irritating. First, it does not sync all of the of the dives from my watch and requires the app to be uninstaled and reinstalled to import. Second, there seems to be an error with "find contacts on facebook" where it says "app not active this app is not accessible right now and the app developer is aware of the issue".
2022-07-05 | Reza Teshnizi | I use a Suunto dive computer and this app to sync my logs. This app does the very bare minimum. You can sync the logs, but it's really hard to add location tag (no way to search for a place) and other details to my dive log. It would be nice to to able to add custom dive fields so I can add my personal details such as visibility, weight, etc.
2022-05-12 | Patrick Beebe-Sweet (PBS) | Downloaded this to sync some new routes with my Ambit2. First, it doesnt seem to see any of the existing routes in my watch, so I have no way to remove old routes or POIs. Second, despite multiple attempts to sync, none of the new routes or POIs I create and select for sync in the new Suunto App are sent to my watch. So, my Ambit2 has lost the ability to update nav routes. Terrible. My watch has lost one of the primary features I purchased it for. 25 year Suunto customer. Looking for new brand.
2021-09-05 | Stephen | Won't sync. Generally becoming a pain. The app is mostly useless without the ability to sync, and as of late has over and over not synced with my galaxy s20. It's a nice app and when it works it has some good features. But again it does nothing of itself so it has to link to something for data and that's the rub. Terribly disappointed
2021-07-29 | Ryan Conlon | Very disappointed in this company. I have the Traverse Alpha. Great watch! Recently the Movescount App told me to download this Suunto App as it was replacing Movescount. After downloading this app, I was instructed to delete Movescount so this app would work properly. Once again, I did as instructed. Now it turns out, there is zero support for the Traverse series (and most other watches older than 2 years) in this app. In order to adjust/customize sports now, you have to connect to a computer.
2021-04-05 | Nathan Kibby | Been using this app with a Suunto 3 Fitness for about a year. Had some trouble with the GPS tracking after Android made updates. Switched to a newer Android and GPS tracking worked great for 6 months. Android pushed an update and this app stopped GPS tracking. Cannot figure out why, checked all the permissions, restarted multiple times, reviewed online blogs, nothing. Except for the lack of GPS tracking, the app has a lot of other tracking/statistical data that has been helpful. |
