| 2024-12-15 |  | | I'm really enjoying this game! Some things aren't explained great and took a while to figure out/I'm still figuring them out, but this is like a really cool puzzle type game. Plus, the breeding for specific genetics is so cool and interesting; so far, the colors and patterns are extremely varried to the point that I have yet to see duplicates. Time and effort has 100% been put in to ensure variety. If the help/info buttons were just a bit more thorough, this would definitely be 5 stars. |
| 2024-09-28 |  | | UI needs improvement for breeding system to show nicheling traits for convenience. Game crashes quite frequently also for some reason. It would also help to have an undo button for mutagens for times where they are accidentally assigned to the wrong gene. The food resource in the game seems unnecessarily scarce. Otherwise the game is pretty solid and fun. |
| 2024-07-22 |  | | I own both the mobile version of this game and the PC version. Obviously, the PC game is more detailed and better. However! I really enjoy playing the mobile version. The overall simplicity of it and everything is so nice and I don't need to have wifi to play it so on a long road trip, I can always rely on this one to keep me company. This version is easy to understand and the controls all make sense. Definitely worth the little bit of money that I payed. |

However, I don't know if its just me, but the app has a tendency to randomly crash pretty often, way more than any app i've had on this phone. There's a lot of noticeable bugs as well, like glitching sprites and backgrounds, the foraging nicheling selection sometimes scrolling forever... I guess it says a lot that it doesnt bother me enough to put the game down, but its still strange how often it crashes. |

I found the overall idea engaging but the simplicity of it causes the game to be obviously more focused on the very young people like 5-10 year age groups instead of everyone. The layout is clean and easy to use. The controls are easy to understand. The graphics could really use some more imaginative approach such as straying away from the more conventional as it is heavily used. Great start though devs! Keep doin good cause it can only make you better! |
| 2023-01-06 |  | | Best money I've spent on the play store! Its a little bare bones right now, but it just got released, and for the price, it's great! I've already seen one quality of life update come through. I hope a little more content is in the works, but, again, at this price, it's tough to complain when I've put dozens of hours into it already! |
| 2022-09-04 |  | | I love this game. I downloaded it a couple of months ago and I am still playing which is awesome because I usually lose interest pretty quickly. I have a couple of suggestions. First, it'd be kewl if you could have friends and maybe visit their islands. My daughter and I both play and it would be kewl if we could share our guys to get different genes and stuff. Second, we need more levels. Oh also, I wish there was a way to accumulate food over time. Something to look forward to when I log in. |
| 2022-04-02 |  | | The game is a neat reimagining of the original, though the leveling up of genes feels like a departure of the stricter genetics of the original. The reason I dropped my rating to 3 stars is that the game can get rather buggy when played for more than an hour, and there is no safe backup system I've noticed. Infact, I lost my main save due to the app crashing at a bad time, and lost my near completion of the gene list because of it. Edit: New phone, game doesn't work at all on an S22 Ultra. |
| 2022-02-18 |  | | Better than Steam, the game benefits from cutting survival aspects out to concentrate on breeding. Only downsides are, the game crashes regularly, but at least when you open it back up you don't lose data. Also, the notifications are annoying because you get notified that a new baby has been born or that a nicheling grew up, but there's still 15 seconds or something. It would be better if I got notified only after the timer was actually up. |
| 2022-02-09 |  | | Just downloaded this app earlier today and was really enjoying it, but the screen's stopped responding to my inputs. I tried restarting my phone but it was a very temporary solution. All in all the game's concept is really fun, but I do wish there were more features to help with breeding particular traits. Otherwise I'm going to continue troubleshooting because I was having a great time with it. |
