2024-12-17 | Charlie Pope | Excellently useful after learning the muscle memory. I love this level of custom. - I would like if the App Switching function had a blacklist. Some apps are just overlays or launch links that will be opened with the switcher unintentionally ("Better Open With" for example). - I would like any gestures unset, or set to no action, to not be recognized at all, and therefore not create the haptic feedback for recognition of a gesture. - "Pull and Slide" actions could be on any " and Hold" gesture.
2024-11-28 | Steve Bachmeier | I had a pretty nice situation on my Galaxy phone with gestures (no buttons) and the One Handed Operations + app. This gets most of the way there. Toggle Split Screen doesn't work at all. And the very small panel length when overriding system panels is annoying. But hopefully with a few updates it'll be great!
2024-10-24 | J. M. | All launchers are reverting to usage lacking some basic things such as setting extra pages/windows or just simple useability as implemented in the original android launcher design. Plus, all brands have different navigation arrangements. Egde Gestures is a powerful utility with lots of functionalities built in to address many navigation problems. It fills a lot of the gaps created by the recent launchers and the fractured android phone market. I could not efficiently use android without it.
2024-10-17 | Logan Lane | works great. it has more gestures than Samsung's one hand operation, but doesn't support as many shortcuts. it also limits you to an annoyingly small handle if you want it to work with Android's native gestures. You can get around this by using both one hand operation and edge gestures, though. overall it barely ekes out one hand operation. Edge gestures would be perfect if it had more system shortcuts (pause/mute media) or if the existing ones (scroll to top/split screen) worked
2024-10-08 | Zach Lunsfor | I checked troubleshooting in the common section, it did not fix my issue: recent apps gesture randomly stops working. It worked for about a month and the past 48 hours it will not work. I have tried restarting phone, uninstalling amd reinstalling the app, changing recent apps to a different gesture. I don't understand why it just stopped working. All other gestures work except "recent apps".
2024-09-09 | Ricky | This app is a must-have for fast access and multitasking. It's not perfect but it really deserves 5 stars. It's awesome to see this still being updated and the developer is still responsive. It might be because I have an older Note 8 but applications load slower when using edge gestures from the home screen.
2024-06-10 | Dylan Shilly | Works great, but for some reason the pull and slide value controls doesn't work on my one plus open(works fine on my old note 9). Additionally, their was no contact info for the dev. I've been forced to find alternatives, but they don't work as well as this app. Otherwise, it's the perfect app
2023-09-06 | Haiying Liu | Great app. Have been using it for years. Cannot live without it. One thing though: The "Adaptive brightness control" is broken after either the app or Android updates (or both). Currently sliding edge up would increase the brightness but sliding edge down would not decrease the brightness. Please fix it. Thank you for developing such a great app.
2021-06-14 | Curtis Sylvester Jr. | So far the only problem I'm having is with a toast notification that keeps coming up talking about a 3second delay or something. I understand why it's coming up. It just seems pointless when there isn't even a 1second delay on my device. EDIT: I feel stupid. I thought the setting above that WAS the setting. Oops I didn't see that one. Thank you. I still don't know how the toast was popping up in the first place when there was no delay to begin with, but whatever. It does it's job .
2020-11-08 | Abby Fuller | I recently upgraded from an older pixel to a new one, and thus upgraded to android 11. Most of the review will be for android 10, but a quick note about using it on 11: It is now unusable for me for two reasons, one of which likely has nothing to do with the app itself. The first reason it's unusable I suspect has to do with Google removing the immersive mode in developer options that used to allow me to set my own gestures and hide the navbar, and removing it has seriously hindered some apps' functionality. The second reason is that it only sporadically works; I can get one gesture to work once (opening a pie menu from a side button), and once that's displayed once, it no longer works until I force stop the app and then restart it. I'm actually very sad about this because it's such a useful app. If this turns out to be user error, I'll update the rating and this review. However, up until the android 11 update, this was an essential app for me. It's amazingly useful, allowing me to get the most out of my phone and customizing gestures that the stock system will not allow for. You can set gestures to open a pie menu (clicking a button will allow you to open a menu to launch apps, or go to the home screen, or ... quite a lot of things, really), set left, right and bottom gestures that do different things depending on what you do on those edges, like setting a long-press on the left edge that goes back, or a press-and-swipe gesture that opens a particular app, or a double-tap that turns on night mode. It's amazingly useful and I really hope that I can get this to work again soon. |
