2024-12-01 | Paul Suquet | I typically keep my phones "media" slider all the way down, but I want to be able to hear the Assistant/Genini when I speak to it. This app seemed to get it done. For about 5 minutes. Then it just stopped working. Making me wonder, did it ever? Those few minutes, could've been a fluke. Not what I needed.
2024-02-24 | Lloyd The Great | The title alone is why I chose this app. I want to control the volume of apps independently from the volume button so I could listen to music in the background and watch a video with separate volume controls. This app does not do that. As far as I can tell all it does is set volume initially when an app is started and when it's closed.
2023-01-01 | ray zhang | This app totally doesn't work. I just want to mute just one app(a game) permanently by changing its Media and system volumes to 0, yet when I save that setting and open the app again the game music continues playing as before. Even though every time I open the game there's a line of text that says "Volume adjusted by App Volume Control" the volume remains the same as before. Macrodroid is simply better than this.
2022-11-25 | Marie-Christine Allers | It's NOT an Android limitation. This app keeps saying you can't have different volumes on a foreground and background app running at the same time due to Android limitations, but LG phones have had that option for years! This feature is actually what is holding me back from upgrading my phone, because LG doesn't make phones anymore, and I use this feature daily. So yeah, definitely NOT an Android limitation if LG can do it...
2022-09-30 | Julius Kellinghusen | I wanted something that silences the ads in my games while I listen to audiobooks, and this app does not do that. It can only control the OVERALL volume, which can change based on which app you're using. It does not silence one app while keeping others normal. Of course they clarify this in the description, but I'm guessing this feature is why most people look for the app, so...this is not the right app.
2022-08-12 | Numbzie | Doesn't do as advertised on Android (recall this is advertised in the Android app store) because of Android system limitations. I've just been trying to find a way to listen to audible while watching twitch on my phone, and after downloading about a dozen of these apps, this one finally informs me it's impossible because of Android system limitations (read: evil corporate decisions to make your life less convenient and their wallets fatter.) I'm giving this app a 1 star for false advertisement
2021-11-17 | Veronica Ruston | I wanted to silence ads in some apps while listening to audiobooks or music on my phone at the same time. This is marketed to be able to do that but it doesn't. When the ads pop up, all audio goes silent and I have to leave the app to restart my other audio. Plus there's an audio skip forward a few milliseconds when switching into the app and this app then activates. So it's not the solution I was hoping for and that it claims to be. I tried all sorts of combos within the app to no avail.
2021-09-30 | Maurane VC | I was looking for a way to listen (uninterrupted) to my music (on the background) while playing games on apps that contain 30sec advertising. And this app can do it. You just select the apps you don't want to hear put the volume on 0%. And now for the music part: go to settings en select "prioritize music playback" This makes sure your music keeps playing. Even if your music app is not in the foreground
2021-06-30 | Ronda Bernstein | People are rating this app low cause it doesn't do what they were looking for, which isn't fair. I found it from an Android blog recommendation. It does exactly what it says it does, controls the volume automatically when in an app. When I open a particular app, it sets the media volume, then resets it when I leave the app. For music apps it controls the volume based on whether I have headphones in or am on Bluetooth. Very nice. You just have to remember to turn each item on after you set it up.
2021-02-27 | WD | Works EXACTLY as described. Android doesn't allow different foreground/background volume. I was disappointed when I learned the limitation... I wanted to control Wayz/Maps volumes while listening to an audio book. Still find app 100% useful. Audible always starts playing when I get in my car. I listen to racy books, so I don't want volume on in case someone is with me. Nothing like having a sex scene start playing when your Dad gets in the car with you... 😯😳 |
