High monthly costs for just being able to speak comfortably. I don't feel very comfortable using the 15 original voices and the vocabulary is very limited without constantly playing.

It works for communication as I have a horse voice and need it to communicate while resting my voice but I wish the saved option wasn't behind a paywall.

Randomly stopped working. Now my 85 yr old Father can't use it. He has aphasia After your fix, it's working again. Need this to be consistent. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Super yanky. Text lags so much when typing, can't select it if I notice a typo. The text doesn't even auto correct. I was literally using it when suddenly the voice changes to the ugly default and suddenly there's a paywall. So scummy. Bad app it's so laggy and yanky.

I was really excited to have the first AAC app that feels like I can actually use it without being slowed down or bombarded with loud ads while trying to communicate, and I can understand app development isn't always easy or cheap, but 12.99 a month just to go back to not painstakingly trying to type out everything when I can hardly even process words? Yeah, no thanks. That's a bit ridiculous.

I really like the app, but I am unable to upgrade to premium, so will uninstall. And try again. I guess the help desk isn't available on the weekend. Finally got a response from the Spoken help desk on Monday. Tim helped to resolve the problem. I am now enjoying the app again.

I was delighted when I found this app and tested it out; I've been looking for a TTS app that has no intrusive ads or payment subscriptions and thought "surely an AAC tool is the way to go". And then during a legal meeting about my speech disability, it announced that I had used up the free trial it never told me I had, and that I had to pay $13 a month to continue using the product with a semi-human voice, or revert to a robotic one. Disappointed. I shouldn't have to pay for a disability tool.

"Disappointing" sums it up. The app itself is good, and the subscription isn't ideal but is understandable. It's the lack of offline support and the omission of information in the description about how limited it would be after the trial (which isn't mentioned either) that were a deal-breaker for me.

The price to be able to pick a voice that actually makes me feel like I have a tool I feel comfortable using is absolutely absurd. This app seems fantastic, but not having access to a voice that feels comfortable to use makes it useless to me, and clearly a lot of other people feel this way too.

Tapping buttons to create your sentences seems like the easiest way to have more in depth conversations with people rather than tapping pre-set sentences like other apps do. I only wish it was in my language as well so I could use it :(
