2024-12-11 | CG | Intrusive and convoluted, when simply trying to pair a Pulse, the app claims it 'requires location access in order for bluetooth to work properly' which anyone would know is false. Opening the app, the landing page is littered with advertisements and popups, all of which completely detracts from the utility of something that should be incredibly simple and straight forward. The app and its user experience SUCK. Cut the BS and pair the device I bought. Unpaired, the device is buggy and unreliable
2024-11-23 | Kevin Furlong | It's a metronome with useful metronome features. The constant barrage of ads and requests to move to upgrade to premium or "send love" actually interferes with my practice. They take up 90% of the screen and they never stop. If I ever need a metronome to do anything other than ask me for money, I will find another app.
2024-11-18 | Ali Lotfi | I used this app as my go-to metronome for a long time because it was clean, simple, and effective. However, after taking a break and coming back to it, I was disappointed to see it overloaded with intrusive ads and constant nudges to upgrade. It’s become so frustrating to use that I had to switch to another app.
2024-11-13 | Henry Johnston | The features of the app are all great, but Soundbrenner has been slowly increasing the number of marketing screens you need to tap through before you get to the actual metronome and it's gotten to be too many. I just want a click to practice to, I shouldn't be asked to make an account or subscribe to a premium service every time I go to do that.
2024-09-07 | CommissionerG | Great metronome as it counts notes correctly; most metronomes count all notes as if they are quarter notes, while not understanding that time signatures have meanings. But, that's all the positives I have to say about this app. To get any other useful functions, like being able to create more than two song lists and save said lists plus songs database (backup and restore)...well, that's behind a paywall. Yep, SaaS strikes again. And, I'm over that business model.
2024-09-01 | Steve Erickson | Very disappointed. This app cost money when I bought it. I accepted the cost as appropriate for the features it came with. After a couple of years, some advanced features (most notably the playlist option) were taken away in an "upgrade" where you now have to "subscribe" (meaning pay monthly) to get the advanced features that I had in the original version. I don't think this app is worth anything close to what you'd have to pay to get it now.
2024-07-23 | Ted Mowery | I bought mine hoping it would encourage practicing and playing more often, and it has achieved that. The core metronome, tuner, tracking apps are great. I was shown some product dev info that there is great additional tracking functionality coming, expect to see it on Apple first, Android later. Looking forward to it! Is app perfect? No. Is it damn good? Yes! I would buy the core 2 again. Deducting one star until the additional tracking features are added to to this already very good app!!
2024-06-12 | Samuel Honkanen | I used to just google metronome, and use that. I installed soundbrenner because it has more control over tempo, timers, subdivisions, and time signatures. The one thing that makes it extremely frustrating to use is that it fluctuates in volume constantly for seemingly no reason, making it hard to practice. If they fix that problem, 5 stars, but right now, I would like to be able to hear the metronome over the instrument when I practice. 2 stars.
2023-06-05 | Chris Harper | Love my Soundbrenner metronome!!! I have always had an issue with being able to focus on a metronome with a click and/or lights as well as play guitar at the same time. Since purchasing the Soundbrenner vibrating wrist watch metronome & pairing it with their app, I can honestly say it's hands down the best guitar tool I've ever purchased! No more "trying" to focus, the vibrations just make staying focused a lot more natural. You actually feel the beat rather than hearing or seeing it. 5+☆!!!!!
2022-07-27 | Alex James | I used Soundbrenner for YEARS across multiple devices. Had hundreds of songs saved; I eventually even bought their high end watch (big mistake, such a poor product). Recently they locked all the decent features behind a subscription service. This went from being an app I would recommend to anyone without hesitation, to a company I will go out of my way to make sure people avoid at all costs. Such a shame to see how they have fallen to greed. |
