Volume control should be the easiest thing to do on any streaming app. SONOS UPDATES make this zimply task infuriating, fidgety, and difficult. Inconsistent and just Seriously Awful. the settings key for bass, treble, loudness and TV voice enhancement should be 1 click away not burried in 5 different drop downs. If you want to increase or decrease these based on genre or listen to many different things it is frustrating.

Has not worked for the last 2 and a 1/2 to 3 months first it would not locate My speakers and apps and now that it does it will not play any music source . Whoever runs this company has run it into the ground. They want to shut down the S1 system. These current issues are Intentional They want everyone upgrade to the S2 models. I will never buy another Sons speaker due to the fact that they can turn the switch off at any time making your thousands of dollars worth of speakers worthless. F THEM

I downgraded to the Sonos S1 app after the nightmare that has been the new Sonos app upgrades that started last May. This app works flawlessly with Alexa. It's user interface is excellent. The "other" app frequently lost my Sonos Connect device. Sonos tech support suggested that I buy a newer model! Rubbish! Also, Alexa commands would not work on my Sonos move. And as far as Alexa was concerned all of my devices were offline. None of the tech support ideas had any effect.

The app updated and all of my music services disappeared. I no longer recommend that anyone purchase Sonos products. It is now 2024 and this product still sucks. Anyone who buys a Sonos product is asking for an app that doesn't work and makes very expensive speakers more or less paperweights. It is unbelievable that this company, which holds the patent for linking multiple speakers is so inept.

This app is pure trash. I have an old Play:5 speaker and recently attempted to login to YouTube Music, SoundCloud, and SiriusXM to connect the app to my services. No matter how many times the authentication succeeded on those websites, I come back to this Sonos app and find "Connection Errors". I last reviewed this app in 2017. I see that not much has changed since then. 🙄

I don't know what's going on since the update, my Sonos beam. Can't connect the app. I find the beam, go through all the steps, and say they can't find my network. Everything is correct with passwords. Before the new app worked, I was able to play the music off my Samsumg S23 ultra phone android. Now, the only way I can play music is from my desktop computer. Horrible for what you pay for a Sonos product.. My JBL charge 5 connects to my network plays music through all apps.

2024 Update: App is still garbage. Initial Review: Can't cast music from Android device, forced to use the Sonos app. Can't thumbs up/down songs when playing YouTube Music on the app, and can't cast to Sonos from YouTube Music app, so users are forced to use this horrific app where they can't customize favorite songs / songs they hate. App is a slow, cluttered, unintuitive mess.

Absolute GARBAGE! Sonos is hands down the biggest waste of money and time I have ever invested into any audio product. They are too complicated, too expensive and too EFF-ing FRUSTRATING! Do yourself a huge favor and buy some cheap-o bluetooth speaker somewhere, pair it to your phone and enjoy some music. Or you can have a set of massive paperweights like me that are perfect at one thing... collecting dust! Pathetic!

Love it...... when it works. App much improved. May 2019 Now rarely have connection issues. now give it 5 stars. Now February 2024 and app much less reliable. At times very quirky. i. e. Select one station and different one plays. Another issue is the annoying Tune In. I am using Sonos much less as a result. I realize not an app issue but important to me.

I wish zero was a possible rating. We have had Sonos for many years and the original app was the best. I cannot control my volume (when I turn it down, the app turns it up or does not respond at all) I can't even pause the music. If you can avoid updating, do so. The interface is also completely changed,, so it takes a while figure things out.
