They sell a lot of cheap options with the "self-transfer" hack, but that comes with a lot of hidden added fees that are not included in the initial cost and that the website does not make clear at the time of booking (such as specs of baggage may be different between the different legs of the flight). I recently requested a refund in the amount of the additional money that I had to pay for the concern, and they blew me off. Will not be using them again. | |

Right now I'm stuck in Cancun in a layover because Kiwi made a reservation in which the first flight had extremely different maximums of baggage requirements and now I have to choose between throwing my stuff to the trash and paying 80 dollars. Why would anyone want to book a layover in which you won't be able to board the second plane even though you did the first with no issue. | |

They have option called Disruption Protection in case of delays or flight cancelations. Costed me over 50 euros, flight got delayed, they said they couldn't do anything and instructed me to go to AirHelp. Pure waste of money and terrible user experience – ACTIVELY AVOID! | |

I called attempted to change a flight and they said no. I then asked that they assist in booking a new flight and they said no. Asked to speak with a manager and they said no. 2024-08-11 | Joe M | The app works fine, but a terrible UI/UX design coupled with awful customer support costed me hundreds of dollars. On an recent trip, I booked several flights with different airlines through Kiwi. The first flight got cancelled, and when I clicked on the flight in the app, pressed "what are my options?", it gave me the option to cancel/refund my flight. Great. Turns out, it cancelled/refunded ALL my flights, and when I called customer service, they refused to help. Terrible app, worse service. | |
2024-06-15 | twc “twc” | Booked direct flight. 2-weeks later, they added layover. Connection time too short; will lose connection. AA said there are other direct flights but Kiwi has to make change. Kiwi said they can't do it. Lesson learned - use 3rd-party booking apps for info on the flight you want, then book it through the airline. Update-Kiwi responded to this review to contact them thru email for help. I wasted more time. They repeated that they can't help. But it makes people reading this review think they did. | |

They left me stranded at an airport, and didn't help me at all with their calls, instead they kept on blaming me for the fact that I didn't use their flight cancellation/delay option, rather than helping me book another flight. Just told me that they can't do anything and only the flight service I used could be held responsible. Atrocious. Never again am I using this app. Also, this had happened nearly a year ago, meaning I didn't write it thoughtlessly. Bad co. | |
2023-11-02 | A Ramirez | It's good to get an idea for your trip, but not reliable. I bought tickets and 4 hours later I get an email saying that the prices have risen and that I had to pay the difference if I still wanted the tickets. Another time, they refused to change my flight and wanted to charge me everything. I went directly with the airline and they changed my flight without any problems. Kiwi will try to get every dollar from you. Not recommended to make purchases here. Not easy to get a quick confirmation. | |

However, the call eventually disconnects after some time. When it comes to canceling flights, they attempt to charge additional fees and push customers to book alternative flights. Moreover, the company appears to use their own email and MasterCard at the payment gateway, making it easier for them to withhold refund amounts from customers. | |
2023-04-22 | Christina Ojeda | I've been a customer of Kiwis for a long time. Recommended to everyone. Today I got the true experience from customer support. I was sent a false itinerary months in advance from a flight I booked. Telling me of a change in departure. I received multiple emails about it. My boarding pass even states the change. I'm currently at the airport... trying to find a new flight to book since I missed the flight I was supposed to be on. There wasn't a change. And Kiwi refuses to take responsibility. |
