I'm finding this increasingly useful as an AI-assisted search tool, though it can be tricky if I don't submit enough closeup photos. On the other hand, it can easily make mistakes. Four clear closeups I just submitted of a lawn mushroom in Austin, TX came up as Conocybe; habitat and morphology seemed to match, but four more shots with the flash and better detail came up as a Panaeolus. I feel it's hitting my submissions to the right Family or Genus about 70% with three or more sharp closeups.

Excellent source of information, easy to navigate app, and excellent customer service!! Pausing subscription for seasons is an option. I thought I paused mine with the option to resume when I wanted to use it again and reached out after I was charged for the month. I quickly received a response and full refund no questions asked. Will use again.

This app is amazing for its quick and easy identification capabilities. Even if you use the free version, it's just enough to figure out what kind of mushroom you're looking at. If you upgrade to the pro version (I paid for an annual membership), you unlock many incredible features such as listing mushrooms growing in your area, priority queue for ID, and offline mode, for when you're deep in the woods and don't have service. Overall it's a great app and probably one of the best out there.
