| 2024-11-24 |  | | I used to love this app. Especially to get songs that I want to add to playlists later but lately it doesn't run in my drop down menu anymore constantly like it used to. If I would physically open the app it would restart and run there but now it doesn't even do that anymore. I checked for updates but there isn't one. What is the problem? That's why I gave it a 2 star otherwise I'd give it a 5 hands down |
| 2024-11-23 |  | | I use it sometimes for stuff I need to find right away but it won't find everything so beware of that, anything recent, indie, or obscure might now show up fast or at all, so expect it to work flawlessly for more known audio and songs. It's sensitive, but if the audio you're trying to find something from is overwhelming the sing you're trying to find. It'll be a bad time for you. Use it when stuff is clear, also it can auto Shazam now too. |
| 2024-11-20 |  | | I'm listening to music internally on my phone using Bluetooth headphones. There's also loud music playing extrrnally (loud gym). I use popup Shazam to identify internal music (what it's supposed to do). It completely ignores my internal music and focuses on what's playing at the gym. Rather than having dedicated buttons for internal vs external music, this app has some nonsensical priority algorithm that you cannot control. |
| 2024-11-19 |  | | I didn't realize how much I relied on the lyrics scrolling automatically with a song, if I searched for something and clicked to see the lyrics, but ever since it disappeared I've legitimately hated using this app at all... I might as well just be using genius at that point. I usually listen and drive, and I APPRECIATED being able to UNDERSTAND the lyrics when I find a new song, before I inherently learn the lyrics wrong. But you can't read along with stationary words while driving... FIXITPLZ! |
| 2024-11-10 |  | | it stopped being able to identify most songs easily, but worse than that is the app keeps opening itself in the background and turning on my microphone without permission or any prompting. luckily my phone tells me when it's doing this, but that is really really really sketchy shazam. really. where are all these recordings going??? |
| 2024-11-07 |  | | Suddenly after recent updates, the app can't seem to tell me what a song is. It listens and tries harder but fails every time now. I've held my phone inches from the speaker and it just can't determine what a song is. I know my phone is fine because I've made and received phone calls and the people I'm speaking to hear me just fine. Your app is trash now |
| 2024-11-03 |  | | when you open this app you immediately see a button that once pressed listens and tells you what you're hearing and often provides lyrics and links to the music video or bandpage etc... if there are ads Ive never noticed em... when you shazam a song you hear it stores in a list for you to have on hand when you really can't remember that song you heard on the radio the other day... definitely one of the best functioning apps I've ever used and I've used it for a decade on every phone I had. |
| 2024-10-25 |  | | This is a good way to find out the songs that you've heard and never found out what it was called. it stores the songs so that you dont forget. You can even put a button in the corner of your screen so that if you're doing something and want to know right then you click and save. Plus, there's auto Shazam so that way YOU DONT HAVE TO PRESS THE BUTTON, anyway the auto Shazam is always on until you turn it off and it gives you a notification on what the song is. 10/10 Amazing.technology these days |
| 2024-10-08 |  | | Update: New update fixed it. Hopefully they calm down on the "improvements" Previous: Always excellent but now broken. Search begins and just keeps looking with no result. "This is tough, last try" on each lookup now. Last update broke it I guess. Hopefully gets fixed soon. It's always been reliable, but gave it two super easy ones to double check and still nothing. The more recent feature where if it doesn't find it when you search initially, it'll look again later hasn't notified me either. |
| 2024-10-06 |  | | Used to be a great app but since the update, nothing works. For one, you try to search up a really simple song and nothing comes up. Even when im connected to internet. Two, its insansly slow, its infuriating. And three, if you try to watch the music video, read the lyrics or look at other songs it just says "something is wrong, try again." And you actually do try again and the same thing comes up. If nothing is wrong with the app, don't make an update. Plain and simple. |
