This game is pretty good. However, there are some flaws. First, this is the only port he made where you can't go back and get all the Chaos Emeralds, or in this case, the Time Stones. Second, every Special Stage after the 4th one sucks. But I would take them any day if I had to choose between the Sonic CD Special Stages and the Sonic 1 Special Stages. And again, why can't restart when you have only 1 life! It's a problem with the other ports, too! Anyways, this game is still very good. 👍

A decent port of the original. The controls do feel a little off at times, often causing issues with game play. I can't compare this to the Sega CD original, but there are glitches throughout (one causing Sonic to get stuck in a conveyor belt and die). The widescreen is very nice, though the controls do obscure Sonic at times. Ads on the free version are annoying like all ads are. When beating the game the original ending videos would be nice to see, but all we get instead is a picture of Tails.

Even after 12 some odd years, I'm still very impressed with this port of Sonic CD. The game works surprisingly well on a touch screen and I had no issue controlling Sonic. Though I did run into some issues, nothing major, but still worth bringing up. Some of the sound effects didn't seem to work, mainly the goal post, Sonic skidding, and the end of point tally sound after beating the level. Other than that, it's still a great port. Sonic fans should definitely check it out.
