2024-10-22 | WnW 15-8 | It is laggy despite being a USB connection, and the audio is not being shared to the computer for some reason. I tried adjusting the settings for the Sound Output, but the audio would only come out of the phone. The computer would not receive the audio at all for me to hear from the computer's end.
2024-10-11 | Susan Guire | The app is okay, it does mirror you phone on your PC but there seems to be some major issues that have come up recently. Hopefully Samsung will provide an update with fixes. 1. When typing from your keyboard attached to the PC when running the program, anything on your phone duplicates letters. This is what happens when I type "phone" pppphhoooonnneee. 2. The copy and paste function between PC and phone and vice-versa doesn't work.
2024-08-31 | Joe Fisher (Man Skirt Brewing) | When it works, it's pretty good. Screen mirroring works well. But the fact that I have to unlock my phone and open the app every time to use it makes it much less than convenient. The fact that it doesn't allow me to initiate text messages from the PC side without unlocking the phone for screen mirroring is silly. The fact that sometimes it just doesn't connect despite jumping through all those hoops gives it ⭐⭐. If I'm going to do all that, I'll just continue to use scrcpy with a USB cable.
2023-05-07 | Michael Osmon | However it connects, I cant send pictures when they're sitting next to each other. Its junk if i cant even send a screenshot between devices. This app is horrible. The connection is a pita, never works right. When it does work, wont let me transfer data over bluetooth. Why? The devices are practically touching. Why make me send it via internet? Is it because youre skimming it? Why even make it an option? This app is garbage. More of what I've come to expect from a garbage company like Samsung.
2022-11-19 | Zach Kokorovic | ****Edit: usb connectivity option has been restored, this review has been updated to reflect the much better experience while using this app**** This app was really good back when it was called SideSync. Unfortunatelya few updates ago; the ability to use USB for connecting to the PC which by the way had a far superior connection quality and faster response time with regards to the user interface and was much more stable.
2022-09-23 | Kevin McGuire | I didn't realize what it did to my phone until 2 weeks had passed. My wife got a new tablet for her birthday and I thought this app sounded interesting. Ever since I installed it, my touchscreen has had such horrible lags in tapping. Half the time it thought I was selecting something. Made it impossible to type, even trying to open apps or navigate websites. Finally (2-3 weeks later) I put 2 and 2 together. Uninstalled the app and viola, everything is back to normal. Almost sent it for repair.
2021-07-01 | Kurt H | Everything is perfect except I am unable to remove the Flow notification icon from the top of the phone. This is extremely annoying and is not the level of professional software development I expect from a company like Samsung. Extremely disappointing, as it turns an excellent app into a mediocre app. I think we had a misunderstanding, I was referring to the icon being present when not connected to the PC. When pulling down the notifications, it can only be closed using the dropdown box there. Every other app on my phone closes when I select "close all" EXCEPT this one. That is my complaint
2020-12-20 | James Cannon | Terrible, You have to download Flow from the Microsoft store. You have a button to the MS-store and I don't have a Microsoft store app or account. So, I can't download it. Why can't you just download he program from your site? Why make sooooooo complicated? You don't think about it this way. You ever heard if KISS? (Keep It Simple Stupid) It was easy with SideSync....but no, you made it more complex. A general non-response or a "I'm sorry your having problems, etc' instead of correcting the issue is expected!
2020-09-09 | Adrian Brigham | Great idea, very poorly executed. Constantly looses connection and very difficult to reconnect. Won't work my Samsung tablet. Can't easily transfer photos from phone to PC. All it's good for is reading and responding to texts using the PC, but that can be done with the Microsoft My Phone app which also allows easy picture transfer. Go with the MS app!
2020-07-15 | Jeremy Schmidt | I lost interest when I could no longer unlock my Windows\PC with my smart phone or smart watch. Why such a low rating? Because I went out of my way to buy a bluetooth dongle for a PC that didn't natively support bluetooth just to use this feature and almost a month later it's gone, and so is the need for the bluetooth dongle. So I'm out of the money I spent on that as well. I already use Samsung DeX and Microsoft: Your Phone to get most, if not all the features Samsung Flow is offering. |
