App summary

The AIRNow Android application will provide an increasingly mobile public with real-time air quality information that people can use to protect their health when planning their daily activities

The app will allow users to get location-specific reports on current air quality and air quality forecasts for both ozone and fine particle pollution (PM2.5). Air quality maps from the AIRNow website provide visual depictions of current and forecast air quality nationwide, and a page on air quality-related health effects explains what actions people can take to protect their health at different AQI levels, such as “code orange.”

⚠️ WARNING - Dangerous app. Not good. LA is reporting air pollution warnings due to smoke, ash, dust, and winds - but the app says the air quality is a green "9" and "good". My wife's Asthma attack begs to differ. Dangerous app for those that need it. This app should frankly be removed from the Play Store.

Not trustworthy. For the past two days our skies are brownish from forest fires and one can smell the smoke. Other apps (eg Weather Undergound) are showing readings in the 70s(moderate). Yet EPA reports around 28 (good) on both days. We live within a few blocks of the EPA monitor. Other sites on the map show higher readings. There is something wrong here.

Pretty happy with it so far. I live in the Pacific NW with a lot of wildfires so keeping up is important. This app is super easy to use. No ads, free, clean layout. I have not noticed huge map/home discrepancies some people have pointed out. Recommend.
