Would love to be able to rate this higher but I am not impressed up to this point. Mine is not working again which I found out when I opened the app to try to locate my dog when she went off gallivanting. This meaning of course that her location was not being tracked. Then, I find out it stopped working not long after I replaced the battery the last time. I was never notified that the device was not connected, believing I was protected the entire time when she wasn't even being tracked.

It's a great idea except others have to download the app to scan your tag. Customer support is awesome and very eager to help. But they either don't know how to fix any of your issues, or there is no way to fix them. I haven't had as many issues as some of you, but I still wouldn't invest in it again. There's just too many bugs and problems that cant seem to be resolved. I will try again with a different company if I can afford it. The developer needs to start over with the app. It's a shame!

It states above that the latest update fixed the bug that automatically forces closed the app, and gives the reasoning that there is a bug in the app. However, despite several attempts at fixing this ie: uninstalling, and reinstalling, clearing my cache....it STILL is NOT FIXED?? I am closing my account and returning it if this isn't resolved soon. What a shame🙄 had the potential to be a wonderful app in aiding to keep our fur babies safe! 🥺

Giving this one star for now. Just purchased the pawscout tag and after signing up and getting the subscription, I scanned my QR code to test it out. The app automatically force closes and gives the reasoning there is a bug in the app. I've tried other phones as well with the same result. If this is not fixed ASAP, I wilaube canceling my subscription.

I give it two because I like the idea. It just could be a lot better and there are better ones out there. I did have pro to get the most of the app and the price is amazing. If you have a chewer DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT!! Mine had it chewed up the first day. Also, theres ones like this product that can track where your pup is. Instead of this, where some one else has to download this app just to scan your animals barcode.

I would love to give 5 stars, though I can not. We discovered this gadget through our neighbor and their outdoor cat and thought it was nifty... in case, when our cat or dog got out. They're both escape artists, houdini's. Who loves nothing more than to explore the neighborhood and harass our fellow neighbors. So, we bought the pro version so we can be alerted of anything and get all those nifty features... yeah, I tried tracking my cat and got a notification that the app has a bug. Womp womp!

While their support team is pretty awesome in my books with a quick response and solution to a broken flush mount, their app needs some work, especially when it comes to Samsung Galaxy devices trying to operate their app. The pawscout shop will not load, and the page that separately allows me to order batteries through the app will not let me order batteries for my device nor does it redirect me to another page. When I try to use the website, I am redirected to the home page of my pawscout app.

I like this system BUT both with the old model and new model, regardless of a new battery, every time we go for a walk, I open up the app and it "can't locate tag." So I have to manually push the tag. It lights up blue and then it connects. I have to do this every day. If he were to actually escape, I wouldn't be able to find him. Which is the point of the app. So I'm looking for something else that doesn't just turn off randomly so consistently.

We live in the country and our dog is a runner. He tends to be okay when he's on a lead that isn't even connected to anything. 9/10 times when we have him outside in his unattached lead, he stays in the yard. if he doesn't, the lead gets wrapped around a tree or some underbrush in the woods. This app allows us to search around our area and find where he is without the huge expense from a carrier. yes, you have to watch the app to see how close, but it's super helpful since our dog won't bark.

Immensely disappointing. Not just from a software perspective, but a hardware perspective, my dogs are able to chew the trackers open and access the battery. Thankfully they didn't eat it and get hurt. There has to be better solutions out there for tracking our beloved pets. This solution is not the answer. The app constantly gave me and my partner unnecessary notifications, and lacked consistent connectivity to the trackers themselves. And the Pro service? It's not even worth trialing.
