2024-09-20 | Louis Waterstreet | Would be perfect if I could set each file upon the bookshelf between long page (Korean) view; and single/double (Japan) page views. Love the set up :-) for the bookshelf. Although your missing the long page view code. Add a retracting bar with an adjustable menu options upon the page screen. Make these adjustments and I would gladly pay a small amount for the license to this app.
2024-02-07 | C. C. | I like this reader overall, it can do a bit of everything, but it's fallen behind in recent years, especially in terms of UI. There is technically OPDS support, but it's hard to find. Open the File Browser, then tap the dropdown arrow, then tap Network, then tap the + symbol, then tap OPDS. The OPDS feature doesn't seem to actually let you view or download books, unfortunately. You can basically just browse the catalog itself, limiting its usefulness.
2023-05-18 | Logan VT | Comicat no longer works on my tablet since upgrading to Android version 11 and they took away the privileges Comicat had to read from my SD card. I am still pissed at them for that... "hey, let's take away some of the usability our customers have grown accustom to...", at any rate... Perfect Viewer looks a lot like Comicat in many ways. If you are looking for a replacement for Comicat, this is the one to get. In a week or so, if I have no issues with it I will be paying for the Pro version.
2022-08-11 | woop17 | Would really be improved with the ability to add notes to specific areas of an ebook. I am also annoyed at the text selection feature that barely works and the lack of any information about dictionaries. What format is supported? I've wasted time gathering JSON, CSV, XML, and TXT dictionaries, yet none of them are accepted. Please provide information in the app about the expected format. The google search feature doesn't work at all. Thank you for supporting SMB shares, at least.
2022-06-21 | E Lizard | Best reader app on the store. It has tons of customizations and is still updated. I just wish that I could disable page changing while scrolling. I just want to scroll down but keep accidentally turning the page. It's annoying. Another feature I'd like is the option to limit the Fit to Width option to a percentage of the screen width instead of having the image expand to the full width
2022-01-27 | Howard Kistler | I really liked this app for a long time, but the latest update seems to have trashed the underlying database. Books are still marked as Read / In Progress / Unread, but the Filter function returns a blank shelf when I try to sort on any of these. It also shows every book as New when I use that filter, regardless of how long it's been on there. Is there any way to restore or repair the app so that it correctly displays books based on their read status?
2021-04-12 | Jason Hargis | I have to agree with the last few reviewers. This app used to be nearly flawless, but the last few updates have nearly ruined it. The bookshelf takes forever to load. It has to reload the bookshelf every single time you go in or out of a folder. Even after a Full Scan it doesn't show the accurate number of files for a give comic.
2021-03-30 | Ryan Allan | Loved this app till out of nowhere page mode scrolling became choppy. Please fix, can't use the app anymore as I don't like vertical mode. EDIT:. Still same for me as of march 30th. Scrolling up or down a page jitters like on a lie detector test or earthquake detector. How come scrolling is buttery smooth on the other popular comic viewer?
2021-02-21 | Aaron Babb | Great comic/picture viewer. I've been using it for years (shameful that this is my first review) and have rarely encountered a glitch. My first warning that there is an issue is usually when it's fixed in a patch. 2/20/2021: Still just fantastic. I couldn't be happier with a comic book app. I've had so many Android devices and Perfect Viewer has been installed on all of them.
2020-04-22 | A Google user | this app "just works" immediately upon installation, and has a very intuitive interface. unlike pretty much all similar apps, you can also customize everything to exactly what you want. it takes a lot of time to configure. but it is well worth it. the app is free, no strings attached or even prompts to donate, but it's good enough software that I've donated three times to support the developers for creating an app that makes good on the name. |
