2024-11-19 | Tracy Wang | edit: I tried playing it again and it would randomly start crashing. once it starts crashing it will never work again unless I uninstall and reinstall, losing all progress. really a shame. Couldn't put it down, really interesting stories and characters. And the game went way longer than similar games on mobile and the plot was way richer and well developed than usual. The puzzles are engaging and balanced.
2024-10-12 | Ka S | I'm legit glad I bought this. Really fun gameplay mechanic, no ads, it's complete with no microtransaction bs, and the artwork is great. On top of all that, the story/chars have surprising depth for a mobile game. I also like that you can finish it... I know a lot of people want endless constant updates, but I am old and I prefer games that end, so I can have closure and move on. Get this game if you actually like games and not just wasting time!
2024-09-24 | David Thatcher | This game is great but this is the second time that it crashes on the splash screen. If there's a way to send logs or need help with crashlytics I'm happy to help resolve this. Unfortunately it's doing this when I'm in the final chapter and last time I had to resolve it by clearing storage and I would prefer not to! Update* Looked in the Log and there's a java.lang security exception crashing because of an improperly set broadcastReceiver.
2024-09-18 | Ellie | After making it through chapter 1, the app will not open. Restarting my device helped a few times, but now that's stopped working. (Edit: FYI for other players—just tried un/reinstalling and it did open, but it looked like I'd lost 90% of my progress through chapter 3! I had to select the (only) cloud save to get my full progress back.) The game itself is really fun and the story is pretty interesting! just wish I could, you know, play it. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't have this issue.
2024-09-06 | River Lule | This app constantly crashes, loses your saved game, then reboots all over at the beginning. The game, when it plays, is fun and makes you strategize your moves. But that's only when it works. I paid for this game and it should work all the time. I can't get anywhere past the first few challenges then the game just constantly crashes. Do not buy this game!
2024-07-30 | Kristen White | EDIT -- I still love this game, but for the last two weeks, it won't run. I can uninstall/reinstall and it will work once or twice. Hoping for a fix soon. I have emailed the devs. Fantastic game. The playstyle is similar to classic Fire Emblem games, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Great characters, compelling story and dialogue, great art style. I will replay this many times.
2024-07-16 | Trey Harper | Have to downgrade from a 5, due to app crashing after the splash screen. Was really enjoying prior to this. The color tiles is a fun twist on tactical combat. I'm bummed it's bricked. Amended review- uninstalled, reinstalled and progress was updated from the cloud. Really solid game. Packs a lot of depth into a small package.
2024-06-12 | Ronald Andersen | Its an rpg with an interesting story and trippy combat system. The characters have some upgrades that you can do, you can buy weapons and skills too. The fighting is fun for the most part and if you do die its no biggie. I like the artwork also, its got a comic book feel to it. Some of the fights can be less than fun at times but for sure its doable and the story keeps you interested all the way to the end. The characters are great and everything about the story was awesome. For sure its good.
2023-04-18 | Mika papadakis | Flawless mechanics, engaging (proofread!) story. I played RPGs for years without really understanding the options-- this game breaks it into manageable chunks, so you get familiar with a couple character skills before more are introduced. In the battle sequences, there's an option to select "confirm move"-- in case you tend to mis-click-- and "fast forward"-- which lets you long-press the screen to speed up NPCs' turns. Impeccably designed in every sense. Highly recommended!
2023-04-04 | Christopher Crumpton | At first I thought this was a very strange game concept and didn't think I'd like the game. But the more I played it, it became apparent that I was basically playing a twisted version of chess. Absolute genius. To say it's grown on me is a severe understatement. My new favorite game on any platform. This Is one of those rare ambitious games, attempting many different ideas, but this nails them and goes beyond. When do we get more?! |
