2024-07-14 | ManIn AShed | I cant even install this. "Before using create a graph on the desk top" Err, what the hell does that mean and why f should I?
2024-03-07 | Alex Pear | Mobile now works for the first time! For years, reading or writing to Roam from mobile was glitchy or very slow, like 2+ minutes. But now in 2024 March I have a quick & effective quick capture screen, newlines create new blocks as desired, and I can even load my whole graph in under 20 seconds. I can hopefully abandon most of my mobile workarounds now.
2024-02-06 | Marc Tremb | Almost there. I use Roam for everything, the app is pretty good, but a mouse on an android device doesn't work. I use Roam on desktop, and my phone flawlessly (other than the slow opening) but cannot use the mouse on the tablet so it's unuseable in that aspect, and that's a key piece in my workflow. I've been a huge believe, but the little things are starting to catch up and the market for substitutes is getting bigger. We'll see if this keeps improving.
2023-11-07 | Richard Avery | Way too slow to open. The whole point of the app is to capture thoughts/notes so they can be compiled and reviewed/referenced later. When the app often takes 30secs to open, the utility drops significantly. For new uses, look to a different app.
2023-06-18 | Touko Kuusi | These bugs were addressed so I updated my review to 4 stars. If the developers make the graphs tab to load instantly (rather than wait 5-10sec alwa) -> 5 ⭐ Old review: Roam is great but native app and web app suffer from massive problems in mobile. You can only copy correctly formatted lists via export view (no indentation otherwise). Also, I need to close and open the app to get the correct date for quick notes, that makes quick notes slowest notes ever (I contacted support but not fixed yet).
2023-04-14 | Brian Saetre | These days Roam takes about 20 seconds to load. Often I want to write a quick note, so this is barely usable for that purpose. I also find that quick notes are always saved to the same day many months ago. I also can't see notes that have been added to Roam using Android's share feature, which I often use to save Tweets and webpages. If the developer is reading this and wants to work with me to identify the cause of these bugs, I'm happy to help. (I'm a developer myself)
2023-02-27 | Tracy K | No register to get started. I am a google keep user which is great. Simple. Easy free. But with buying a new phone i wanted to make sure my apps are best to use... this one failed already. I have seen reviews that say this has promise but i am not digging this hard to do what should be simple
2022-12-20 | Jamie Doerschuck (Jamiedoer) | Edited: The app force closes all the time now when trying to start it. When I get it started it works tho From a daily Roam user, very helpful app. Personally I haven't had any issues with this, you can do pretty much anything you can do on the computer, and synchronizes the notes really fast. I am not a power user so I'm sure it's missing some things compared to desktop, but for me it works great - and you can always finalize whatever you need later back on the computer.
2022-11-01 | Karan Talati | Very buggy and unreliable. Expectations for apps are high now. Not great for what a simple mobile app for note taking should do: capture a quick note and move on.
2022-09-29 | Orhan Tozan | Good, but loading your graph takes a lot of time. I don't use QuickCapture because it doesn't support tag autocompletion. |
