The content of the site is interesting, and scrolling when bored is fun. However, this app has way too many ads, and they prevent the enjoyment of the site. The front page, when opening the app, is 30% ads. When you open a post, the first or second space in the comments will be an ad. Whend scolling every 5 to 6 posts is an ad. If you have fat fingers like me, you will often accidently open an ad when trying to interact with other users. Use a browser with adblock for an enjoyable experience.

Horrible app. Freezes up randomly and I'm unable to scroll. Some pictures don't load even with the best wifi connection. A lot of the times, only one comment shows and you have to collapse the rest. After replying to a comment, it takes me all the way back up to the beginning of the comments so ALL the threads I read and closed are open again. This is especially annoying when I've a read a lot of comments. These problems should not be happening with something as big as reddit, please fix!!

This app is littered with ads all over the place, and now when scrolling through my feed it places in "you might be interested in this" suggestions that have nothing to do with what I'm subscribed to. Unfortunately, they force you to use it. It's low of features. Downloading images is a pain because they forced a pop up menu, that opens on the bottom. Not user friendly.

Lots of topics to choose from! Interesting! Freezes constantly. Lost 2 stars. Uses a tech to remove or ban comments based on keywords without consideration of context or what was actually said or why. While they are free to gatekeep, it makes it a very touchy touch and go place to be and iffy as to what's okay and what's not. Meh. Lost of 2 more stars. Moving on...

I have no idea what images are part of a post and what aren't anymore. Double tap to like is an abomination and should be an option to turn off. The screen stays on if you are looking at the comments on a video. Clicking the thumbnail of a post is inconsistent with how it opens. Minimizing comments doesn't work properly anymore. The new French fry icon is ugly V2024.47.1

Sadly it's still a garbage app. The third party apps were all better, fact. Ignoring that, they've still had literally years to make this something usable. They chose ads, not usability. It exists. It's the only non-web access point to the site (without work). You're better off on a browser until they kill that too.

Pick a layout and stick with it. First you change the placement to download images, such that it's in a more inconvenient spot, especially when downloading multiple images. Then after my muscle memory gets used to this, you change it's placement, which now puts the "hide" button where it used to be, which is the opposite of what I want. It was fine in the top right corner, pick a layout and stick with it Also, how many times do I have to make it clear, I don't like ads about AI. Please stop.

All you had to do was make an app that worked. I hate having to use the app to see 18+ stories (example the war in Ukraine). I hate being redirected from a page to the app only to have it not load properly, if at all. I hate the built in ads. This app should not exist because it's just a web browser in a container.

And yet again, a new update, a new bug. The most current version freezes and blacks out constantly. Absolutely horrible experience with this app! Literally every "update" reduces usability. This most current one has broken nearly every post I click on. I've read "We had some trouble getting to Reddit" more than any content. 9 out of 10 posts fail to load thr first time. 7 out of 10 don't load at all. Useless and unusable!

2024: review stands 🤦‍♀️ 2021: Often when I clicked the notifications, it would not take me to the post. Now it's not even opening the app. I have to go into my app drawer to find the app and open it. Even then, it usually doesn't take me to the post. Half the time it isn't letting me switch between profiles. Other times it simply refuses to load at all, and will glitch out and crash repeatedly. It's annoying as hell. This app has ALWAYS been buggy, but it has been really bad lately.
