2024-11-25 | Benny Benny | It's an impressive app overall with very useful features for helping you to spend less time with apps that use dark patterns to harvest your attention. One annoying issue I am running into recently is that every other time I open WhatsApp, I get taken a black screen. Then I have to go home again, and try to open the app again. I would love to see a bug fix for this. It seems to occur exactly half of the time I try to open WhatsApp.
2024-11-21 | Nathan Essex | App is helpful for keeping me off the phone, but the home screen display freezes when scrolling. I read some reviews, and the response to this issue is always that this only effects 1% of users and that it's something google needs to fix. It's the same line they've used for months. Sounds to me like the product team isn't fixing this bug because people are still buying the app as is. So, if you buy the app, expect it to keep you off your phone because if the features don't work, the bugs will.
2024-11-19 | Boone Parvin | Has GREATLY reduced my screentime on problematic apps. My only criticism is that the UI is a bit clunky. Because it eliminated the app drawer and icons, there's a long list of app names. The alphabet on the right side of the app list consists of very small letters. If you try to hit P you may wind up on R, even if you have normally sized fingertips. Changing the font size makes that alphabetical shortcut a more reasonable size but makes other fonts ridiculously large.
2024-11-17 | Jan New | I had to turn off the mindful launch feature. Every time my app closed out because the time limit was reached, the mindful launch would continuously pop up asking if I wanted to open the app even if I was closed out completely. It usually happened 3-5 times but this last time it popped up 9 times. Other than that it works well & I've spent less time on my phone.
2024-11-15 | Nate Howard | Very interesting, but it needs two features to be usable to me. One, I need to be able to put an actual picture on the background. I want to see my family. And two, amI need to be able to open a folder and add multiple apps to it at once. One at a time takes entirely too long.
2024-11-09 | Anna Kempel | it's fantastic at what it aims to do. If you like using focus modes that disable specific apps through specific scheduled time periods, I unfortunately find that harder to access now, and I find that blocking them through minimalist isn't as efficient or useful. I do also miss the genuinely widgets I had, like being able to view my calendar quickly or add a note to my ticktick inbox. and those are some major drawbacks, but might also be seen as a plus to others. still,I find it's helpful overall
2024-11-07 | Joel S | Definitely helped me cut down on phone time and be more mindful about phone use. One good addition would be an option to shut down whatever app was running before you went into the lock screen. Right now, when you come back from lock screen and an app is already open, it's easy to jump right back in and start wasting your life again. Close the app and force the user to go back to it if it's that important.
2024-11-06 | Taka Ai | This changed my experience with my phone already. I don't like I can't set a pic of my baby in the bg. I know the point is to look at my phone less, but I get a sad pang in my chest when I just see black instead of my son. Not a deal breaker, though. I have gallery faved. So far this is fantastic. No overtimulating choices, straightforward and simple. Very affordable. I will subscribe gladt if it remains functional and helpful up til the trial ends!
2024-11-02 | Tristin Yaeger | The passion of the developers really shines through. The ability to buy a lifetime license instead of just a monthly subscription, the thoughtfulness of the layout and features, even the phrasing of how it asks if you want to give it a rating. It's not often I can say I'm pleased to financially support a purchase. This is a rare exception. Regarding the app itself, it has helped reduce my screen time be more intentional with my phone usage. 10/10
2024-11-01 | Bryan Rubio | Great features that definitely help you be more mindful of your phone usage. I've had a bug where the navigation bar occasionally disappears and I can't navigate. A quick screen off and on does the trick, but still a bit cumbersome. Good overall. |
