2024-05-17 | Steve Clayton | Works really well syncing files from my android phone and tablet to my Qnap MAS. However, Qnap have decided to withdraw this and build sync features into Qfile Pro, which does not work as well and is a pain to find the sync features previously easy to use with this app.
2024-01-16 | Peter Bosilkov | Decided to give it a try. It's a good thing I didn't really need it. It turned out my qnap doesn't offer me to update QSync Central to the required version. (I'm out and about..) I use QFile and really like it. I use QGet and .. it works, but is sort of meh, QManager lack on features (it mostly reports.. can't really setup the device from it).. so things for QNAP seem to be hit or miss.
2023-12-27 | Craig Hallex | I use this app to sync files between my phone and home desktop. It works as expected. Every few months though, it will stop syncing without any warning or explanation, but I've discovered it needs me to re-enter my password and 2FA, and then everything works again. I have recently set up a team folder for my wife and I to share files, and so far it seems to be working as intended.
2023-11-11 | Charles Lin | Every time I sync there is a problem. Nearly everytime, there is a problem around the connection. Why would you open all different connection methods at all times then round robin? If it was a single connection then it'd be much clearer and easier to the user. I spent some time fixing the connection only a week ago; then it doesn't work this time again. It is beyond frustrating and I will give up on the app for now.
2023-10-08 | Patrick Rosenheim | The app seems to work fine, but a major drawback for me is that it needs the "Access all files"-permission. You ask what folder to sync to, just ask for permission to that folder and not the entire system. This just makes the "Remotely erase device" much more dangerous.
2023-07-02 | Alexander Krause | Extremely bad experience like no one ever tested this app before pushing to production. When pairing a folder on Android it informs me that syncing consumes power (who could have guessed...). One can only click ok and one is presented the same screen again. Confirming the settings to complete the setup process give the same warning without a way out. Therefore setting up pairing is not possible anymore... The only this this app is supposed to do doesn't work.
2022-12-23 | Sakis G. | App does what's expected. It should be an option where you could hide the persistent notofication. In addition, it would be best if there was an option to invert the option for sucessfull sync. I don't want to know when it successfully syncs, only when it doesn't.
2022-09-21 | sti cazzi | Setup yesterday and setup my phone to sync my telegram, whatsapp and 2 other jobs to my TS453. The Whatsapp job has 27k files @ 24GB. Sync started once job was created with no obvious means of tracking the job (found the task list today but still of little use) & little feedback for over 16 hours. Eventually I paused it and restarted.. eventually finished with some fiddling. Now it seems to have synched but 2 WAY job only syncs from phone to NAS and does NOT delete phone files if del'd in NAS
2021-06-01 | Daniel Gorodowienko | Too many problems. Recently stopped syncing at all. I had a conflicting file that's data got broken, even though size was precise. Not very advanced, but hopefully will do the job. It's kind of a joke that only one directory with hardcoded path can run version control. Even worse, there is no version control management in the app. Only on NAS. I am missing an extra security, like a PIN. There are 2 constant notifications even though sync is off. And no "Sync" button on those notifications.
2021-05-19 | Florin Lăpădat | On Galaxy S21 the app is not saving the configuration. Syncronization tasks are deleted after a while or after phone reboot. Also the configyration for the device storage quota is returning to the default value (32GB) I didn't had this problem on Galaxy S8. Do you have any clue what is happening? Later Update: The problem was solved after creating a support ticket. Thank you! |
