2025-01-19 | Download/Upload are so FTP, will be great if the UI could be redesigned to use Copy/Cut/Paste with local file management support, like most file managers are doing. The app has potential to become a universal file manager for QNAP users if it can be done. For now, I still have to continue using CX Explorer, and Qfile Pro only serves as a new Qsync client :
2024-12-22 | This app is total garbage. It does not work. The old Qsync Pro app was terrific, worked for years syncing photos through my NAS to my Samsung phones. QNAP forced us to use Qfile, but it sows not work. Utter garbage. Avoid this app.
2024-12-19 | The QSync integration is not working. Sync never gets done. On pixel 9 with Android 15, the app does not detect that battery optimization is disabled for QFile, so it does not background sync. When sync only while charging is selected, once battery reach 100%, it indicates that sync cannot ruin as battery is not charging, even if still connected to a charger...
2024-12-14 | Been using the app for a few years. In the past week file transfers on the app have slowed to a crawl or give an error of "failed to connect to server." Nothing has changed in the network setup. Transfers on PC work as normal.
2024-12-07 | Getting better. Layout and interface has greatly improved with time. Also more reliable on auto uploads.
2024-11-20 | No longer works from WAN with non-default port, however the NAS is perfectly reachable from a browser. This makes the app unusable.
2024-11-19 | Connection failed..... Connection failed..... Connection failed................. And I hope you like thumbnails, 2 for each photo App constantly drops connection. Very unreliable, will not execute file syncs in the background reliably. Qnap creates two separate thumbnails for each photo uploaded, one at medium resolution and the other at a very low resolution. Syncing photo folders takes a very long time if you have the patience to get through constant connection drops and additional files...
2024-11-19 | Most things work...But working on a pixel 9, we can't auto upload in the background. So whenever the app goes to the background and stays there for a minute or two, the upload will fail, waiting for you to pull the app back into the foreground. Please fix it and I'll update my rank. Edit: I've allowed app to run in the background (ie disable battery optimization), but every time I try to toggle on the "Allow QFile Pro to run in three background" in-app setting, it does not allow me to proceed.
2024-11-14 | Pretty nice app. I use it to connect to my QNAP nas on my local network. One complaint I have, however, is that when you add a local network device, the app doesn't check anything outside the phone's subnet. In my instance, the NAS is on a different subnet than my phone. The app would not find my NAS until I used an Ethernet dongle to plug my phone into the same subnet as the NAS. Once the app found it, I was able to connect my phone back to the other subnet and use the NAS. Manual option plz!!
2024-10-26 | Terrible experience, the GUI is completely inconsistent and every interaction with NAS is so slow. The application is reporting an "Error" with the transfer, but you are completely unable to find any details about what the problem was. At one point application decided to delete my primary copy on mobile as the best solution. One of the phones has connection issues, again I could not find any details. Please be extremely careful and aware that this is dangerous. I miss the Syncthing. |
