Update 2024/12: Prey tries to send data when your phone is in use while in flight mode, unable to detect, that the phone is in flight mode and data transmission is impossible !! As a result Prey depletes the battery, which is a serious problem. If for example you have flight mode on during night and have sleeping music on and also use your phone alarm clock you will miss it due to battery depletion by Prey. I have contacted Support weeks ago, but never got an answer, even after sending updates

Probably used this app ever since it first came out. Gotta say its changed alot. The promise is the same but the app is not. There used to be a camo screen that shows a tank game you needed to login to gain access to Prey. Very stealth option which has been removed (at least on the free plan) now there is a dumb uninstall button right on the front page. The setting are a joke they should be called plan overview. I cant edit my settings on my mobile. This phone tracker should be mobile friendly.

Update 6/21/2024 Have used the app for years. Have been able to recover two phones and one laptop. Being able to remotely lock/disable the phones was easy. I noticed a few comments about the shutter sound when remotely taking pictures with Prey. You will need to go into the camera setting in the phone to turn off shutter sound BEFORE it's lost/stolen (if that is an option for your phone). Some cell carriers do not allow you to disable the sound.
