2024-10-14 | Taylored Designs | The computer kept trying coups and made the game end and the game said the cou one even though they were the ones that triggered the nuke and according to the rules they automatically loose. If they did some bugs then I will fix my rating.
2024-09-22 | Lugh tm | Wonderful game, one of the best and a lot of fun playing online with others. If you get really into it, join a league and compete! But the recent update is terrible. Card names messed up (Trumane doctrine for one) and map can't pan anymore. No useful features added (60 min games). If not for that this would be a solid 4
2024-08-29 | A A | Great game, good digital version of the board game. I thought notifications were fixed this year in June's update, but it only notifies you if you close out of the game. If you switch to another app and leave the game open, you will not be notified. So, its KINDA fixed, but not really. If you have to close the game every time to get a notification, then you have to re-login too. F'N DUMB! This would be a 5 star review if they would fix what worked for god*amn years!!!!!!
2022-08-20 | Brendan Moran | Respectable digital version of a fantastic board game. Lots of reviewers bark about major glitches, routine instability (crashes), and rulebook violations built into the programming of the app... I have played close to 1,000 online multiplayer games of TS in the Steam version of this app on PC, and several dozen games in this app on my Samsung Galaxy S22. I have basically never had a serious issue in all that time.
2022-05-13 | Andrew Guest | Aside from being an obvious port with major problems on mobile, there are also other issues with the game itself. For one thing, it is painfully slow, the computer player should not take longer than the human player, full stop. Also the AI just wins ties I guess, I had a tie in 1991 and it just said the Computer player won the game with no reason given.
2022-04-22 | Peng Wang | There are two problems with the game. First, cards animations are too slow, even the fast setting makes no difference. Second, the buttons on the upper corners will get cut off on samsung galaxy 21u screen, which makes them hard to press. The upper left one can be adjusted using the phone's own setting, but the upper right corner cannot be adjusted. The game needs to be able to adjust the screen size within the game itself, or having bigger buttons.
2022-04-07 | Thin Mint | Game doesn't work whatsoever. Crashes on logo every single time. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on latest OS. Not a bad game judging based on what I've played on Steam, so it's still worth a try. If it doesn't work, refund. EDIT: Rebought the game to try again. Still didn't work initially. My phone happened to die later and once restarted the game actually started working. So if you're having problems try restarting your phone cause that somehow made all the difference. Now it works like 80% of the time
2022-01-04 | J.P. Holiday | I've owned the original board game version for a few years now, so I can say with the utmost confidence that this port is identical to what is one of the best selling "wargames" in existence. High replayability, excellent theme, perfect mechanics. The only drawback is that it's a bit of a battery vampire, and a lot of those only wanting to play on mobile then they might take issue with as much as there is to look at in smaller print.
2021-12-28 | Justin Alfaro | You roll consecutive 1's while the AI rolls 6's. The devs couldn't build a competent AI so they clearly handicapped the player with fantastically bad rolls and gave the AI knowledge of the scoring cards in both players hand. The opponent in a single-player game will overspend on continents it 'knows' you have scoring for and will purposely launch coups that the player cannot break with weak rolls. A human will lose every SP game that ends in 2-5 turns, but the player always wins by the Late War.
2021-12-16 | Michael Keel | The computer is ok for only so long then seems to give up once too many decisions have been made. Excellent tool to take people through the tutorial instead of whipping out the tabletop and having to setup/takedown. I do wish my Apple-owning friends could play. Biggest bonus for me is that when playing with anyone you aren't allowed to perform illegal plays. Not that anyone tries to cheat, but having to mentally track every move's legitimacy can be taxing. |
