2024-12-07 | Derrick Ware | I recently used this app to control an Owl for a recent meeting. The is functionality is very limited and frustrating. Every time my screen closed, I had to reconnect to the camera. Additionally, the ability to pan the camera is jerky as the touch control does not move with your finger, plus the default view has the panoramic view atop the screen. The idea behind this device/app is cool, but not conducive to larger meeting rooms. The app needs better control of the camera and frequent timing out
2024-07-30 | D J | These things and this app are TRASH!!! I went anll in on these things, bought 40+ for all of our conference rooms. The image quality, even on the latest Owl 3 is bad! The app is as bad as it gets, even when it works, and thar is rare. Pairing two of them together is a joke. Support. Lol. DO NOT BE FOOLED. STAY AWAY the hardware and app are disappointing.
2024-02-20 | Greg Coassin | This might be the worst app for supporting a piece of hardware. Updates from the server are slow, and if the app or owl decide they don't want to cooperate, or drop connection, the process needs to restart. Even swiping out of the app and leaving it running in the background disconnects, making your phone unusable for the duration. After spending 8 minutes letting an update download it dropped connection from the owl and had to start again. Would not recommend these Would add more if I could.
2023-11-07 | Elizabeth Reed | Worked really well until recently. Now, the following are not working: Ignore Zone, Presenter Mode. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but did not work. I checked to see if my Owl Pro version was up to date and it was.
2023-05-31 | Stan Tood | App does not find devices via bluetooth. Then if you close out, you'll never see the device search again and no way to activate it. Just a white screen everytime. Can only pair using phone, not computer. Just really dumb and frustrating to work with.
2023-01-25 | marc abou jaoude | My owl did not go to sleep, did not hoot, did not do anything. It just kept blinking endlessly. Tried resetting, unsetting, everything I could think of. Finally, I decided to contact the support as the screen suggested when the owl does not go to sleep or hoot. I got a screen with 500 internal server error. I know what that is... It's terrible programming, which would explain why the product is not functional. Terrible and utterly useless, from product to support.
2023-01-12 | Dyany Munson | I stopped using this a few months ago because the features were so sparse as to be useless. But out Meeting Owl (older model, mtw100) started acting up today and the website is terrible, so I am trying to connect via this app as the only possible way to troubleshoot or update the firmware, but it won't even see the owl, and the troubleshooting is awful. Seriously overpriced piece of junk!
2022-08-16 | Robert Gonzalez | The meeting owls when paired have to be facing eachother to work. A pairing should just work without regards to the lights from each seeing each other. This causes issues in meeting rooms with overhead lighting and where someone may move one to hit the volume controls on it and then suddenly they aren't working again. The app doesn't tell you any of this when setting up the pairs either.
2022-02-09 | Jay Scholz | The app can't handle captive portals. If the developers just added a simple web interface to login to a portal this would be fixed. We're talking three lines of code. The app is hindered by the work of unskilked, lazy developers.
2022-01-11 | Kyle Brock | Setup was simple for me. However, those that struggle with basic Bluetooth pairing (think phone to car stereo) will struggle with setup. But for the rest of us it is really simple process. |
