2024-03-22 | lee hoeppner | Some say camera isn't that good, but for me it's the only good thing. It's the app that is lacking. Notification is all or nothing. Motion detection is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough, and the motion zone does not remove unwanted motion as expected. I turned notification off since motion gets detected every couple of minutes. Needs to have a separate notification setting for when doorbell is pressed. Human detection would also help to eliminate traffic and animals passing by.
2023-06-19 | Robert Izatt | It works okay, but crashes a lot. And this might be the camera itself, but a lot of the pictures show up distorted. Sometimes it doesn't have a picture at all. EDIT: The app has some UI updates and it looks nice but is very buggy. The live view usually doesn't work. If I keep trying the app usually crashes. The previous update was much better. The live view always worked and the app ran smoothly. Please go back to that!
2023-06-09 | Jonathan Quist | While there were some improvement - I appreciate I no longer have to rotate my phone to view videos, the overall usability of the app has become much worse. Previous versions I could open and instantly review all alerts. Now I have to scroll. The old app icon was distinctive and easy to see. The new icon is virtually invisible. (Hint: we do not all use "dark mode" themes!) This is an accessibility problem for those of us with visual handicaps. I'm now working on loading the old version again.
2023-05-02 | Fred Icon | As the reviewer before me stated, the previous version before this update was WAY better, UI and all (even the notification icon was better & more visible). It was so easy, quick, and accurate. As soon as you got a notification, you could see who was at the front door.. IMMEDIATELY. Now either the video is distorted, or no video is taken. PLEASE revert back to the old working version!
2023-04-15 | ravenschild1111 | Update made things MORE difficult. They did finally add an option to Delete All. But! I can't watch a vid unless I catch the notification in real time. If I want to watch a past video, tough luck. & if I'm in the app and someone comes by the camera it won't auto switch to live view. Now I have to open the app, click live view to see who is at the door? How is this "better"? Do you even USE your own product? Edit: now at 4th update & still cannot click & watch previous missed recordings
2021-03-03 | Jeff Warren | Had worked great until lately and camera became pixelated. I thought removing the device and reading it would fix the issue. However, I removed the camera from the app, and now I'm unable to "connect" to wifi, yet the British accent guy on the doorbell says wifi connected successfully. The app just spins and says not connected, connect to remobells wifi. I can't connect to the remobells wifi, without restarting the add device and rescan the qr code. I'm stuck in a loop here. Dumb.
2020-12-01 | Michael | UPDATE: App abandoned. No updates. Motion detection is terrible. It'll detect shadows of trees blowing in the wind, but not a person. App needs quite a bit of polishing. Need separate permissions for owner vs viewer. Viewers shouldn't be able to delete. Please implement the ability to snooze motion sensing for a duration of my choosing. Sometimes I forget to turn it back on. Also need the ability to correct for 180° distortion on video playback. Developers, take a look at the "Alfred Cam" app.
2020-10-23 | Danielle Williams | Frustrated with the lack of! Lack of setting guidance. It's simple but too simple. Website - no help. Lack of help from support team. One email per registration would've been nice to put in setup instructions. Otherwise same issues others are reporting. Picks up sun & wind motion but not the bus going by or someone in my yard at times. Recording length way too short. Fisheye view only playback sucks. No option to set notification quiet times. Needs other improvements too. Review space too short.
2020-08-02 | Robert Blessing | The DoorCam is a great concept! However, the camera quality is inconsistent, it apparently ranges from good to bad based off of connectivity. The motion sensor has a bet of a delayed, also most of the notifications of motion shows nothing happening. The app is fairly basic. I'd like the ability to assign a profile admin so that other viewers can't delete videos or change settings. The app should at least inform you when there's connectivity issues. Which is a BIG issue for this device.
2020-07-21 | Steven R. Olsen | Download your videos. DOWNLOADED videos can be viewed using various video players. Extra work but functional. Following the network setup, videos saved to the Remo+ server can no longer be viewed using the app. Reinstalling the app is futile, as is expecting their Customer Service to resolve the issue. I advised them to hire a reputable contractor to create a fully functional app, and I gave them an itemized list of issues that need to be addressed. They stopped responding after that. |
