2024-11-26 | Marjorie Stewart-Baxter | would be great except if you have notifications enabled, even if you choose no for every type of notification other than offers and messages, you get inane notifications like, "new items related to something you searched for once three weeks ago!" EVERY SINGLE DAY. but if you disable all notifications you don't know if someone is trying to buy your stuff. The ads are also very annoying. but I did find an option in settings to disallow the opening of links from the app, which makes it suck less
2024-11-26 | Lina G | The app has really gone downhill. Used to he good and could actually buy and sell items but the stupid ads, I close the app as soon as one pops up. AND not to mention all the stores they let promote is ridiculous, can't find a good deal if you have to look through a bunch of stores selling full prices items. I think I'm done with this app
2024-11-24 | Johnny Becker | I have not been using this app for very long so maybe I missed something, but from what I gather, this marketplace app does not offer my potential customers free shipping, which is an attribute I like to offer my customers. In fact, looking into it, it seems that shipping is not only charged to the customer, but through my various tools, I can ship items far cheaper on my own. Maybe I missed something while making my listing. If so, help me out finding it, developing team department! Cheers!
2024-11-24 | Naomi Peoples | After a few years, going from letgo to offer up was a change, but now you have to pay to post. Getting one free post per month. I rather you require a percent when I make a sale. But if I pay to post and don't sale anything, I lose money while I help give this app inventory that actually is available. Sometimes the stuff you want is old and not available. Then people be trying to sell stuff for the price as new from the store. Well the store provides receipts and refunds. Amazon delivery to doo.
2024-11-23 | Vic Viz | Used to be good. Now it has so many ads that take you to your browser -even if you click to close it. Then, when you get back to the app, you have to re-do your search because it will be reset. It even resets the distance and sorting. I hate to say it, but Facebook marketplace is better - which sucks
2024-11-21 | Noah Turner | The app is reasonably well-made, hence the two stars. However, in the very short time I have been using it: - Two people attempted check fraud scams against me - One person got me to deliver an item to their door, then decided they no longer wanted it, despite the item being exactly as shown in the listing, in perfect condition - Anyone else who expresses interest in buying/selling abruptly stops responding - OfferUp deleted one of my listings (a coffee table) without notice Not worth the $20.
2024-11-21 | Lee Olson | This app kinda sux!!! I'm searching for things locally within 20 miles that I need that I can go check out and get. It's showing me things that are in different states. Being in alaska and searching for things within 20 miles, I should be able to see things locally! Idc what's in California or Virginia but that's all it's showing me and there's no option for actual local within 20 miles
2024-11-20 | Blair “Eddie” Ard | Obviously doesn't charge Amazon enough for ad space because 60% of the results will be Amazon ads. AS WELL as pornographic pop up ads. Still the only shopping app I've ever seen with pop up ads. Good filter features though. They also added "streaks" to the app? Maybe people would use the app more if you had less aggressive ads making it unusable and even unsafe for kids.
2024-11-20 | Desirre J | Your app is very frustrating to use. I put my search location within 30 miles. That would be from here to Blaine to Mount Vernon. Either way, the app isn't set up the way it's labeled. When I looked for free items within 30 miles of me, I got a post from Oregon and I got a post from California none of these searches that I'm looking for matched up with results. Either way, things are not free.Words listed for free places are out of state when i'm asking for places to be within thirty miles.
2024-11-18 | Springfield 0612 | I get daily alerts that items related to my recent searches have been found. When I open the app its just cars for sale with ads for external links to items I've recently searched. This app has fallen off for the worse. It's garbage and full of bots and scammers. The worse part is OfferUp has no way of cleaning it up. ***Update 11/18/2024- Pop up ads are a major problem. I spend more time watching ads than I do searching. This app is garbage. |
