| 2024-11-16 |  | | Software is still in beta. A new device shouldn't lose features, going backwards is a Sony thing. Roku 14.0 is useless on 50% of devices, but android and fire sticks work ok. No way to manually add or delete channels, a channel scan wipes out previous scans $30 converter boxes and cheap Chinese TVs have this figured out. Contact Silicone Dust, and get real advice on programming proper software for devices like this. Unfortunately all we have is HDhomerun and tablo for network ota streaming. |
| 2024-11-10 |  | | It works for a while and then it stops. Then you have to uninstall and reinstall. Sometimes the sound doesn't work. You have to unplug and replug the unit often because it just stops working. Same issues with the Roku and fire TV apps. I don't know if they can fix anything firmware or not but right now it doesn't appear it's ready for continuous use. Anyway that's my experience. |
| 2024-11-02 |  | | works great except that it needs two areas of improvement needed: 1. Ability to cast to a device. (I have one Roku that works fine except on a particular Samsung TV). If I could cast from my phone to that TV it would be helpful. 2. Functionality to watch recordings outside of my home. |

Can't watch recordings from app unless on home network. Basically, you can't do much with this app unless you're on your home network. Not unusual for server to be unavailable. Only my Roku can find the Tablo device. My Fire Stick can't. |

Device was easy to install but the only apps my samsung smart tv, fire stick and roku can find are all for older versions and not compatible with the white tablo I have. Apparently they haven't released/written a newer version of the app to work with the new tablo. I can only watch on my phone and even there I can't record or add favorites. Thoroughly disappointed. |
| 2024-09-22 |  | | Great to be able to record my favorite shows when I am not available to watch at the scheduled show time. However, unable to use the app outside of home network and unable to scroll to the bottom of the recorded listing (keep going back to the top of list). |
| 2024-09-20 |  | | Still can't watch programs from the start while recording is in progress. This seems like a critical function missing for a DVR. Can't record a game and start watching it 10 min. in. I have to be there at the start to manually pause it! Seriously!? App is much more stable. Other than the above, it works as expected. But the above alone makes it frustrating to use. Stopping recordings in progress to watch the beginning seems crazy. But it's what I have to do with Tablo. |
| 2024-09-15 |  | | Yes, there have been some problems from time to time but it keeps getting better and better. Works fine for me now on Android Phone, IPad, Roku and Amazon Fire stick. I noticed several negative reviews posted on 9/8/24. There were problems due to a server problem on Tablo's end that day. Tablo has committed to modifying the system to allow limited operations when the servers are down. This should eliminate the 9/8/24 confusion. |
| 2024-09-09 |  | | This is the most frustrating bug riddled app I have used for anything. It constantly disconnects, gives error messages, locks up and will not successfully reset or reboot, just stays stuck on the same screen saying to scan the QR code then goes nowhere. Support is a joke. DO NOT waste your time on this unless you want to go insane. |
| 2024-09-08 |  | | Records fine. Keeps all episodes asked to. Since new August 2024 update there have been several abrupt disconnects. Tablo must reestablish itself as a new device. I have to open the app on my phone to get it going again on my Chromecast w/Google TV. Drilling down to a particular episode in a series is more choresome than before the update. A favorites option for recorded series would be nice. |
