2024-09-30 | Charles Leeds | I enjoy this game so much. It brings back memories of being in computer class working on Apple II C way back in technologies infancy... I have written several emails to the creators of the game about multiple bugs in the game. I'm truly not sure if it's the game or my phone. But each time I reinstall this game things just go haywire. I've got no satisfaction from the creators because "this game isn't a money maker". So I've not received any help with big fixes. Period!
2024-04-27 | eric thirdy | Awesome game, I used to play this back in highSchool would be better if you could save the game and continue playing, like you can on pc version. That way if you get sunk, robbed or just a badly damaged ship you can just go back to a save point. I would give it 5 🌟 rating then. Love it all the same.
2024-03-08 | Sonith Kumar | I enjoy this game (Have no exp with the original). But the gameplay is brutal especially when starting out and a little unfair when a large number of enemies attack you within the first few turns and the antagonist decides he needs all your money just as you're starting out.
2022-11-14 | David Lynn | I played this same game a few years ago and it's changed so much, for the worse. The most I've built up before being blown away by 60 ship constant raids is about 3 million. I used to go well into the 2000's a billionaire many times over. Took weeks. Now, my longest game is 10 minutes. Instead of the 2000's the latest I've survived has been 1862, the game starts at 1860! Anyway, uninstalling the game. What a shame that a great classic is completely ruined. Go back to the old version!!!
2022-09-15 | plugh0429 | Having played the original game on an Apple 2e, this looks like it but it's been changed quite a bit. I haven't had a game last more than 20 min no matter which start I try. Warehouse gets robbed too often, you get robbed to often going into ports, pirate fleets grow way too big to soon to fight off and running from a large fleet means you'll be sunk ending the game. It's a shame really. Could have been great but oh well.
2022-08-04 | David B | Like Being Back In the 80's! This was the first computer game I ever played (1985) and this works almost exactly like the Apple IIc version. The only difference is, that in the original version, you could fire 1 full volley of your cannons and then "run away" successfully almost instantly. Anyone who writes a complaint about this game, is someone who cannot appreciate the simplicity and nostalgia of the greatest decade in the 20th century.
2022-01-25 | Chris Brown | The original is far better than this version. The game becomes impossible to play after 10-20 minutes. How do the hostile ships and Li Yuen's pirates hit every single gun almost every time? Adjust the game so it's more like the original Apple II version. This version completely sucks. Maybe add a save feature so the game is more enjoyable.
2021-09-24 | Pam Leong | I really love.this game, it transports me back to childhood. It is a really good and addictive game. The only setback is that the game needs to be saved manually and if it had been inactive for too long, it will start a new game on its own and the old game which you had been playing for days would be wiped out. This is really an issue. Will you be able to set up autosave for.this so we won't lose our games?
2021-02-20 | Eric Tomas | I love that the game has the old time feel to it; it's almost exactly like the game I played back in the 80s. There's just one thing. I'm not sure if it's a glitch, but the game sometimes resets itself without warning. There was one game where I was trying for a billion, when the game inexplicably reset.
2020-09-13 | rich g | The game is fun enough, but you can't say you haven't tweaked it. I've had it downloaded for about two years now and the original was spot on to the game I played on an Apple IIe in the 80s. I could build up to 100s of guns, play well into the 1900s and score massively. I can still score decently well, but the imbalance of attacking ships to my limited ability to obtain guns is not a representation of the original game. |
