2024-10-29 | Val Aero | Update: App fixed and able to connect. Will give another update once a few photos ops are in the bag. Other than that, the support to get this addressed was swift. Thx Matt. App doesn't connect to camera. It fails each time. What's the point of this product if it cannot be used as designed. I've invested the time and effort to ensure the settings are correct and it still doesn't connect.
2024-07-30 | Ian | Love the Arsenal 2 and the app other than two things: - The app doesn't work at all when disconnected from a camera. It'd be great if it would at least let you download photos/timelapses and update the firmware without having a camera attached. - The app fails to connect to the Arsenal 2 if I'm connected to WiFi. Other apps like Nikon's SnapBridge just override the normal WiFi connection to communicate with the device. This app just fails to connect until I manually disconnect from the WiFi.
2024-07-13 | Ray Yokell | With arsenal 2 pro as of June 2024 there are still major bugs, crashes, and missing features. Features that are functional do work fairly well, but for example, handheld mode and deep color don't work on either of my canon bodies (SL3, T3I). Support is pleasant but a bit dismissive, claimed this would be fixed "in a few weeks" and would notify me, but there have been no updates yet. Great idea, better marketing, but still feels incomplete. Will update review if any of this changes.
2024-06-14 | Zandareus | The wifi connection sucks bad. 15 feet is probably all you get Wouldn't feel so bad if it I don't know automatically connected. If you need one shot it's fine. If it takes more than one shot, sticking, timelapse it's broken. It has a CPU but if the wifi drops it stops, why doesn't it keep going? Broken for anything with more than 1 picture.
2023-10-09 | Justo Aguillon | It's slow to respond. One huge frustration is that after I got the S24 Ultra, the arsenal no longer loads automatically to my gallery. I now have to individually select each photo and share it to Lightroom. In the built in gallery, I can never see the photos individually, just all the photos at once. So annoying having to guess which photo looks best or forgetting where I was downloading everything since the app responds so slow. It used to be a phenomenal app. It needs work.
2023-08-08 | Thomas Eynon | Connectivity issues plague this device. I write Android and iOS apps that connect to Bluetooth devices as my day job. This app struggles with some pretty basic connectivity issues and gives users very little feedback to what's going on. The app falls into limbo states when it struggles with a connection leaving users with little to no options. This leaves the user in a state of restarting the device and the app to try and get it working. The features might be useful, but I wouldn't know.
2023-08-03 | Matthew Pautzke | I've tried to be patient but have lost hope. Barely usable app with constant bugs and connectivity issues. Dusted this off to try again. Timelapse initiation was fine, but viewing later was a hassle due to dropped connections and a glitchy UI on reconnect. The preview feature is the main pro. Needs significant improvement yet.
2023-04-22 | Jonathan Franks | If you are a landscape or portrait photographer, this might be for you... I typically take photos for small businesses, they arent something that needs a full workup in lightroom... so I tried this to hopefully streamline the process. All I get are inconsist results... varying quality and sometimes very bad pixalated images arrive on my phone. The unit itself doesn't use the settings I would have picked, so shooting freehand leaves pictures blurry even in very well lit areas. Do not recommend.
2023-04-15 | Paul Middleton | Pre-ordered back in December 2021, after shipping delays received the Arsenal 2. At start up it was easy to install. Not all the features where available at first. When I spoke with support they would tell me its in beta. I am an android user, and so far, android has always been the red-headed step child when it comes to rolling out functions for this unit. My biggest reason for buying was the panorama. 1 year and 2 months later, still no panorama. But it's available on iOS though. Disappointing
2023-01-04 | Warren Lucas | Edit based on update from support: only works if setting is turned on prior to photo It's pretty good easy to navigate but it's missing some pretty basic function like downloading photos. I can share and send, but I have to effectively go through sharing settings to get it off the device. Also I have had a number of occasions where my changes to a photo aren't respected and when I share the photos it reverts back to the original (check camera, changes are still there). In short, missing polish. |
