2024-11-24 | BawBam | Fix the user name issues! I've spent 30 minutes trying to create a username, and nothing works even when I follow the directions for uppercase and special characters. Fix or suggest a username that works for me! Not always accurate but it's also very slow, even though google maps isn't fully accurate I still find it more useful.
2024-11-02 | Jim Kim | Pretty much what others said already, the app doesn't translate the names of certain places, so I had to guess where my train/bus stop was. My main issue is the photo section of places. I wanted to see the photo of places to see what they offer, but there are so many pictures that have NOTHING to with places. Why am I seeing picture or videos someone walking their pets when I wanted to check out restaurants? The teams at Naver need to clean that up or organize better.
2024-10-26 | Chen Ho Ong | lousy privacy blocking very bad bad bad experience. i lost my phone and end up need to relogin with google, it end up block my account. all my save location was gone and i am traveling with high high high pressure. it is user unfriendly app, causing problem to foreigners.
2024-10-01 | Jignesh Patel | This app has been touted as the best app (even better than Google Maps) for tourists in so many blogs and videos. Finally I installed the app, opened it and typed the hotel name. As I typed, a list popped up BUT IN KOREAN LANGUAGE. How a tourist supposed to know Korean !!! I typed few other places and ye suggestive list was always in Korean. I wrote this review so I don't install it by mistake again.
2024-08-07 | thanya suwansawad | Excellent for real time navigation. It made it so easy to travel around in Seoul with many options for transportation. As a tourist, I did have to reference Google maps for English language content and then manually input the location or name back into Naver maps which took up more of my time.
2024-07-31 | Isaac Santana | Ok, after using it for a few days, the app is great for providing direction using public transportation.. very accuratem However not everything appears in English, even though tou change the language to English. Also, I'm assuming bc it lacks the capability to look for things in English, it doesn't do a good job finding things so I look for them on Google maps and then enter the address. Also, when you enter the address, add name, number without the district and/or country. Naver won't find it.
2024-03-01 | Behrad Javidirad | Completely useless. If you can get a taxi at all, most of the time the drivers struggle to read street addresses in English or Korean..? Every single taxi experience involved us sitting and waiting for 5 mins for the driver to figure out where the map is pointing to... The app itself is buggy and laggy with navigation, and location information is more or less useless. We resorted back to Google Maps almost every time. Don't go without a translation app, and still you will struggle in South Korea
2023-10-21 | Marvin Powell | This app is so horrible. Despite claiming it has an English version, it can ONLY give you results when you type in Korean. It can also ONLY give you results when you put in the exact (Korean) word with absolutely no mistakes. If you put in "Mcdonalds" without the apostrophe, it won't give you any results. When you DO get results on something, it only gives you results by "relevance" instead of distance from you, meaning everything is far away, instead of the closest options to you. Horrible!
2023-09-25 | TheOtherChef | Was trying to use this app in South Korea due to Google maps not working properly. Was very frustrating even in English mode because they were places that I wanted to look up and go to. However, there was no English translation or Roman letter translation. Plus the app does not give the most optimal walking conditions. buses were either late or not as accurate. Such a huge letdown. I would hope that the app would improve especially for the English version.
2023-04-12 | Brandon Lucky | Being an English speaker, I'm grateful for Naver taking the time to include an English option while navigating. However, the voice has been updated to include new features (long-winded/ repetitive responses) that have forced me over to look to other sources of navigating Korea while driving. P.s. please stop the voice from saying "in a minute" |
