2024-11-22 | WOAH | I would've given this app a 5 star in the past but now this is what I'm giving it for 2 reasons. 1. The age limitations. I've been reading Homesick, and some other comics for as long as I can remember and now I can't because of the age limitation. 2. Daily Passes. I don't mind them, but they can he quite annoying whenever you just wanna binge-read a new series but you get stopped by the episodes that need a pass. And the only way you can read them is either waiting a day or watching an ad
2024-11-22 | Blase Zinck | They just recently introduced unmuted by default auto-playing video ads directly beneath webtoons now, right before the comments section. Not great when you're reading in the middle of the night right next to someone sleeping and it starts blaring a farting noise from some stupid ad for a puzzle game. Now I have to make sure my volume is completely turned down every time I open the app.
2024-11-21 | D. K. | used to read on here all the time. But coming back and trying to browse around. the app has turned into an absolute GARBAGE fire. Can't unselected chapters as read or unread. There's zero sorting, it constantly forces annoying pop ups in your face. The absolute WORST UI I've ever had the misfortune of trying to use in years. Reinstalled it to try again. STILL the absolute worst comic app I've ever used. This is an abhorrent awful user experience. I wish these comics were posted ANYWHERE ELSE
2024-11-18 | Ryan Hansen | A florence bless for the mind, a creators inspiration for the soul, talents from the other continents. Amazing and Wonderful series... but I have 1 problem My only problem is that there is no way to reset a series after you read it to rewatch. Replayablity is something helpful. Maybe just a small green bookmark to see where you left off without having to remove your like.
2024-11-18 | Whitman Fulton | Latest update autoplays loud ads at the end of every chapter of every series. The default setting is unmuted and there's no way to change the default. It is absolutely horrible, invasive, unpleasant, and makes me want to uninstall. The new ad placement is annoying but the inability to default to silent is unforgivable. PLEASE FIX THIS SETTING.
2024-11-17 | Ian Henderson | Really 4.5/5, Offline handling and downloading can be a real pain. The slow need for network connection to boot an already downloaded comic is absurd. Like it works great with good or no service. But if you in the sticks it's not so fun. Otherwise unparalleled platform that supports some amazing creators. The coin system is towards annoying but its better than mandatory ads and such.
2024-11-14 | Captain Marsian | Can find some entertaining things to read. But man, whoever designed how ad placement works, is a horrible scummy person. As you scroll down and finish a webcomic, just as you see Next Chapter, the ad pops up and moves it down. And if you're not careful, you'll hit the ad as it pops up when you're trying to go to the next chapter. The ad popping in just as you go to tap next chapter is still annoying
2024-11-14 | James Stevens | More Ads then webtoons. New ads that play with full audio at the end of every chapter. Why is my comic reader app making any noise at all?? Super laggy at the end of chapters as they try to load the same 12 suggested series to read next. Each update reduces QoL features. You can use this app for free, but they make it as difficult as possible and a pretty bad experience if you don't pay.
2024-11-14 | Golden Tails | I love to binge read so this app is amazing for it, but I hate the daily pass system, I'm not waiting a full day just to read one page of a completed comic. It can take three months or more just to finish one comic even to ones I read to completion I will still have to wait days if I want to read it all again. I would rather watch an ad every page like that fast pass system instead of that dumb daily pass.
2024-11-11 | Cory B | A great selection of comics from multiple talented authors. The daily pass system only unlocks a page a day for 14 days at a time, meaning that I need to spend 75 days unlocking an 80 page series (they give you the first few free to hook you). Not only that but since the pages are only open two weeks I can't reread them without spending credits to unlock them again. They allow you to spend coins (real $ equivalent) to buy pages but no way to buy a series outright. Demotivating to say the least. |
