2023-01-12 | Michael Johnson | It's fine for what it does, which is very little. It shows some pretty pictures as you bike, records some basic stats that are a bit wonky, and can share the rides to Strava (but won't share them after the fact -- only if you enable that first). It's way too easy to delete your rides by swiping left and there is no undo. As others have mentioned, the scenery switches frequently and doesn't just follow a real route. The scenery loops are short and repeat. Easy to connect and get started.
2022-12-11 | Jeroen Joosten | The idea is nice, but what you actually get is extremely limited. It is too expensive beyond the trial. Recorded videos switch from scene to scene instead of just following the route and recordings are often not long enough (causing a loop). Time and other stats aren't accurate plus there are no good ways to share stats with third parties other than Strava (which I don't use). Lastly, I've witnessed various traffic infractions by the camera (like running a red light), which sets a bad example.
2022-12-02 | Peter Lindstrom | I really don't care about the visuals; I just want to be able to exercise and upload results to Strava. The app ends my workout as soon as I switch to another app (Polar Beat, to monitor heart rate). The old Nautilus Trainer app was way better than this, and it's not available any more - probably because they're hunting for subscription income. Extremely disappointing.
2022-11-30 | Brooke Maxwell | Bought this bike in part because I could sync data from the bike to my phone. Apparently the original was discontinued and replaced with this one. Yet this one can't sync the data. If you're like me and want to sync the data, do web search for "Schwinn Trainer APK" and sideload it into your phone and you'll have the original advertised functionality.
2022-04-30 | Gail LaForest | I really wanted to like this app and have it work, I'm even willing to pay for a subscription but . . . . When using the app on any device I own it does not play at a consistent rate, slowing and speeding up disconcertingly, sometimes it stops completely. We have fiber optic for Internet so it can't be slow streaming on our end. It also does not sync with the exercise bike very well, they disagree on almost everything from speed to miles ridden. Please make this app better!
2022-01-23 | Edward Tolbert | Basic common sense features are missing. It doesn't just track your progress automatically, you have to use their boring tours of places when you'd rather watch a good tv show and have the app track your progress It doesn't keep track of the actual time that you exercised, just the day. For a company that makes a living of exercise equipment, you have to ASK, what IDIOT designed this software?
2021-11-21 | Maggie Scofield | Really bad app if you use Schwinn 170/270 bike. The old Schwinn app (no longer available) kept track of all the bike's built-in workouts. You have to "go around your arm to get to your elbow" in order to do that with this app. You have to run the app at exactly the same time as the bike program in order for the app to record anything. And there's no Pause function in the app, so if you pause the bike to get off momentarily , there's no way to pause the running app. Awful!
2021-10-13 | Steve Bybee | Similar to most comments, this app is severely flawed. I used it via bluetooth connection to a Schwinn 470 elliptical. The on screen display for time, distance, etc. on the elliptical are vastly different! By the end of a 20 minute workout, the app is approximately 10-15 seconds behind on time. The app might say I completed 3 miles while the elliptical shows less than 1 mile. Somehow, the app occasionally displays an average heart rate and top heart without ever touching the heart rate sensors.
2021-05-12 | Shawn White | I love this app. It syncs to my Schwinn fitness bike, which few apps do. The reason this is a 3 and not a 5 star review is that the Strava sync doesn't work at all. I have this and Strava installed and logged in on my Samsung Galaxy tablet but Strava is never updated though syncing is turned on. That was the killer feature I needed. But for that I would subscribe. Edit: had to lower the grade. It doesn't pair with my phone at all.
2021-04-19 | Ethan Stegman | I am using this app with android, and I have to agree with other reviewers who said the app doesn't sync with Strava. If anyone plans on syncing this app to better track fitness goals with any other app (i.e. Google FIT, Samsung health), that will not work. Two stars for the scenery and pairing with the bike (Nautilus 626), but for me the key feature (Strava sync) does not work. |
