I wanted a Google search bar widget with a white outline, where I could control the outline width, and access the Google Assistant by tapping on the microphone. There are many other ways to control the appearance and the way it searches. It is much more customizable than the standard Google search bar. |

However, on newer versions of Android where the OS rounds the corners, this widget leaves a lot to be desired, because the outline corners are now missing. I contacted the developer via email and he has no intention of fixing it. His reply was for me to upgrade to the paid version in order to fix the issue. Clearly this developer doesn't take pride in the appearance of his widget and only cares about making profit! Paid ver fixes issue, why not free ver? |

It uses old ones that can be customized, but none of it works for Google stuff unless you want the Google search of 2016 where it ONLY brought up the type of voice search that is supposed to be used for asking your phone to set a bedtime alarm, or send a text to someone. It really isn't functional, and appears to just be data collection. BEWARE!!!! |

| 2022-10-12 |  | | Great little app, but... Gave only 4 stars only because seems that it's not possible to choose separately browser and search engine (or am I missing something?). I want to only use Brave browser and have a choice underneath to switch between search engines. If I search using Google it opens Brave. If I search selecting DuckDuckGo it opens the actual DuckDuckGo browser. It'd be great if made possible to choose which browser and which search engine to use. |
| 2022-08-24 |  | | Great widget. Allows you to do a Google search directly with chrome (instead of that weird default Google search that opens in it's own app for some reason). And it allows so much customization on it's appearance. You can also set the bar to search various apps like Amazon, Google maps, Spotify and so on. Awesome |
| 2022-06-14 |  | | This is a great widget, though the latest Android OS update forces all widgets to display with rounded corners, so if you add an outline to your search bar, the outline gets cut off in the corners, and it looks really weird. If you could rework the outlines so they don't get cut off, then I'd really appreciate it! :) |
| 2022-05-24 |  | | I use a customised launcher (Lawnchair) with this developer's 'The Grid' icon and wallpaper set. Originally i used the 'Sesame' plug-in to configure my search interface but recently tried CSBW. It has almost the same functionality but after a little bit of tweaking CSBW can be made to look even nicer than Sesame. (I should of guessed that it would, Nate's clean graphic style is always on point) |
