2024-10-05 | opeyemi ojo | Nice app for hear training. In particular, I like the flexibility option that allows one to create bespoke categories on musical materials to suit one's need.
2024-09-24 | Non “Non-CelluloseTraffic” Cellulosetraffic | So far the best ear training app i've found. Interval, always relates to some starting point. There are other apps out there, Sonofield is one such that ignores this essential fact. They play a root followed by as many as seven sequential tones without ever referencing the root. But MyEarTraining gets it correct, always starting with a root or reference note
2024-01-21 | Mudit Badlani | Changed from 5 stars to 2. Edited again post developer's response. They've removed the "exercise length" option as a global setting and there's an extra, unnecessary prompt before each exercise now. Please fix it. Also, it keeps asking for a rating even though I've rated it years ago. Small stuff that's messed up an otherwise perfect and extremely useful app. "Rate us" issue still not fixed + no response to exercise length issue. 🤷🏾
2023-09-03 | Chinedu Orji | My hearing has improved a lot while using this app. I can now recognise intervals, melody lines, chords by ear with the help of this app, which I couldn't do prior to the time I started practicing with the app. However there should be endless options creating own exercise (costom exercise)
2023-08-21 | Simon Sengstake | I really like to use this app to learn intervalls at the moment. But, why there is an option to learn seconds and thirds, from fourth to fifths and no Option to learn from sixths to octave. U can just learn them with all intervalls from second to octsve and not in a smaller group like the other intervalls. Because of that i really struggle with the last intervalls.
2023-06-27 | michael chalk | Your app is repeatedly giving wrong answers is the section for "interval reading" under music theory. When odd accidentals are involved: for example telling me that - C to C flat is an octave rather than a seventh - D to F flat is a third rather than a second And it's all weird accidentals you'd never see together. Which scale has both G flat and G sharp? Either you're using some obscure music theory rules i don't understand, or your app is wrong here.
2022-12-15 | J P | I've tried a handful of apps and for me this is the best. There's lots of free stuff to keep you going for quite a while. It's simply laid out which I prefer. Some people have said it's difficult to use?? I love it because the exercises progress well and are very relevant to what I want which is to have musical hearing. I'm not tone deaf but I've always had problems hearing notes, scales, intervals etc, so much so that it's destroyed my confidence despite being a very good guitarist. Thank you.
2022-05-05 | Shishir Bharadwaj | I feel myself improving add I use the app. I love how it monitors your progress over time, and the settings are comprehensive. A well made app for your ear training needs. Edit: I've been training chord progressions, and the exercise seems to break if the phone changes orientation from portrait to landscape. Exercise: Random Basic Triads. Would love a quick fix for this if possible
2022-02-02 | Indroneil Kanungo | Really nice and helpful app! Glad I paid for it. But I have one small feature request. So I wish I could create a custom exercise with just one chord. For instance if I want to specifically get better at identifying inversions of the diminished triad, I'm not able to do that because it says "please select atleast two chords".
2022-01-26 | Elena Lunn | Need improvement. The app doesn't allow to reset the statistics. Frustrating! It doesn't provide any structured exercises for ear training and expects you to recognize the intervals by ear immediately which is unsuitable if you are a beginner and not a pfosessional whose ear is already accustomed to the interval recognition. Overall, the app expects too much of you without providing proper training. For ear training I highly recommend the app Perfect Ear, which is well designed and structured. |
