| 2024-11-29 |  | | The latest update changed the video player in the app. Now it is not reversible so if I flip my phone around it stays upside down and doesn't flip. Also the screen formatting goes behind the selfie camera now so part of the picture is obscured behind the camera. Additionally, when I pause, the pause screen stays overlayed over the video so if I want to pause the movie to read a sign, letter, etc it is obscured. The old video player in the app was so much better, this a downgrade in every way. |
| 2024-11-28 |  | | I bought interstellar on Amazon Prime and it didn't transfer over to this application. I bought "talk to me" on fandingo and it also doesn't transfer. If you use the application then definitely make sure you see if the movie you bought through Amazon prime and fandingo. It is awesome if they carry the movie you bought. Also be sure to read the case on the box to see if they give you a digital copy. |
| 2024-11-20 |  | | UPDATE: I'm grateful that Movies Anywhere cared enough to not only respond, but to research my missing movies, & help me in getting them back.//I have lost the ability to play any of my Disney movies. I had these on both my phone and my tablet. Now I can only see them on my tablet, but unable to play any of the 20+ movies. I even had them saved for offline, so the kids could watch the movies without us traveling with dvds. I have an SD card as well. Terribly disappointed., and so are the kids. |
| 2023-06-14 |  | | I have had movies anywhere for a few years and always loved the fact when I went on long trips in the car I was able to cast my phone to my multimedia center display Kenwood excelon and be able to watch my movies in the car with kids and have really an awesome experience with a long road trip. My phone is an Android device and my receiver can do Android and Apple devices for the last few months it would only play the sound and not show the picture I hoped the bugs worked itself out but has not. |

However an excruciating pain point now for me is that it doesn't hide the movies I have already purchased when browsing the store. I have a big collection now and I spend more time searching for the movie I don't have so i can buy it instead of actually buying and watching it. |

When I have series and number 2 comes before number 1, OR when a movie in a series is completely off the grid somewhere else! This may be small for some but it would really make a difference in the app experience. This is my collection and it is important to me. |

So this app is great, i can listen to speakers or Bluetooth earbuds with no delay, there is a "download for offline" feature which works great and it gives you all information about the video/Movie (Genre, Director, Ratings, etc.) I will definitely be using this more and more! |

Really like to be able to watch all the movies I have purchased anywhere I go without having to pack a separate bag full of dvds. This is one of the most convenient apps to use for the family. When traveling or stuck in the hospital like I was, it kept me entertained. |

If the movies you own are licensed from MGM, Paramount or Lionsgate (and there are literally 1000s), Movies Anywhere won't list them and they won't be added to your library. Movies Anywhere is a great concept, as the world could really use an app where you can watch all your digital movies in one place, but until the ridiculous copyright and licensing laws are changed, this app is merely a good idea. UPDATE: 2 years later and most of my movies still aren't listed. Fix! |
| 2020-02-29 |  | | Was working great through chromecast, but no longer. I have reset webview and chromecast built-in on the TV, as well as cleared cache/ data. Uninstalled/ reinstalled the app. I can play movies through the app. The app will connect through chromecast, display the logo. When I click play, it will show the backdrop of the movie, after about 5-10 secs, stops and goes back to the movies anywhere logo. Other apps connect and display without any issues. Clicking preview works fine, just not the movie |
