Xiaomi device / MIUI users need to go to Settings → Installed apps → Darker → Other permissions, and enable "Display pop-up window" for Darker to work correctly.

Note: When manually installing APK files, Android blocks the "Install" button from being pressed when Darker is running. This is NOT a bug. It's a protective measure to prevent malicious apps from camouflaging the install button. Pausing Darker will solve this.

Darker requires the use of accessibility services to darken the screen, no data will be accessed or shared via the AccessibilityService API.

*The color filter is similar to how the desktop version of f.lux works. Selecting a redder color will reduce more bluelight emitted from the display.

This app is incredible. I've been using it for a while now with the free version and it doesn't compromise the screen's colors, while others I've tried to use made the screen kinda grey. I also appreciate their intuitive interface and how the free version is already very good and gave me time to decide paying for the premiun features, without feeling forced to. I strongly recommend.

The small widget on the side gets in the way of anything I do on my phone Plus when I click the small widget it'll turn off the darker app but it won't turn it on if I need it on so it's not helpful at all. However if you are looking for something to make your screen darker it does do that and it helped with my migraines I just can't handle the constant frustration.

Screen brightness stayed the same but the filter only made the screen washed out and annoyingly made everything whiter. Settings were sent to go below device standard too. Downloaded a different screen dimming app that works well so 🤷‍♀️ 2 stars because it is technically a screen filter. If you needed things the same brightness but just harder to see.
