2024-12-08 | J Palka Zaw | I was desperate for a Foss app that didn't data mine me or force a mandatory login as the Denon HEOS app suddenly did after an update in December 2024 GRRRRRR!!!! Found this and it immediately discovered my Denon avrx3700h. Works exactly how I'd want. All functions are available. Simply brilliant single person development. VERY NICE! Thank you!
2023-10-02 | NormC | I've been using this app for several years and absolutely loved it, but it stopped working in the last couple days. I'm guessing there has been an update which broke it and now all my vtuner internet stations are no longer visible.
2023-08-09 | Richard Ziegler | Fantastic, straight to the point Onkyo audio controller, better than the official app by far. Can even map the phone volume buttons while in the app. Sometimes takes a while to connect when the reciever has just turned on, but that's not a fault of the app. (Update: enabling network standby fixed this!) In a world of fickle AV equipment that doesn't always "just work", this is as good as it gets.
2022-12-29 | Ronald Davis | Thank you for providing a functional app to control and manage my Onkyo AVR. Why Onkyo has failed miserably at this task is a big mystery to me. I have only been using it for a day, but it seems to be capable of performing all of the actions that I desire. I was starting to regret buying Onkyo, but I think this app will allow me to enjoy my AVR for many years.
2022-02-20 | Blair Sazma | Like others have said, this is an improvement over the branded app I went looking for a specific solution but haven't fond it on your app yet. I have 2 onkyo receivers (one in the basement that uses main zone for inside and zone 2 for outside speakers) (other receiver is family room for main and zone 2 is kitchen speakers) looking for a way to play same source across all 4 "zones" seems i can group the 2 main zones bit don't see zone 2 available to group. Is this possible or in premium ver
2021-12-12 | Oh My Goshen | Of all the official Onkyo apps, this one (which is not official) actually works! I love the function that opens my receiver when the app starts, and I can use the volume buttons on the phone to control volume. The only feedback I have is about the name of the app, but this is not the app's fault: when I try to set up Google assistant routines with it, and use the "open" command, the assistant performs a Google search instead of actually opening that app.🤦 Other apps open without a problem 🤷
2021-04-15 | S HS | Perfect addition to my stereo receiver. Great work, dev! I wanted to ask if it is possible to add a notification tray on the phone with currently playing song and controls, this the only feature that ia really missing at this point. This and adding songs from multiple folders to a queu which maybe isn't possible.
2021-02-21 | J Chapman | Won't connect to my onkyo receiver, it sees it but, when selected won't connect. Onkyo TX-NR828. Seems to have worked better for the last few months but now it won't take the receiver out of standby.
2020-12-20 | Richard Cole | Great app, much better than the controller app developed by onkyo. However both apps are missing the "mode" button which allows you to keep the audio input active and switch the video input to the last used input allowing the user to listen to music while watching TV or gaming. This would be a nice addition in general and would be even better if it could be added to the shortcut command to just have one touch to switch to your favorite audio channel and keep the video input active.
2020-09-15 | Craig N. | There are not enough superlatives to describe this fantastic app! Like all the other reviewers, I gave up on the horrible Onkyo apps years ago! The only issue I find is if you have the app installed on two devices (tablet and cell phone) and it is running on the first device, it will crash if the second device tries to access the receiver. Not a deal breaker, simple power cycle the receiver and limit use to one device! Thank-you Mikhail for writing this app! I no longer have to return inside when listening to zone two on my patio to change Pandora settings or turning down the volume when the wife complains! |
