2024-11-29 | Manav | Updating this because of the new app. It fixed a lot of gripes that I had with the old one so that's awesome. The only thing that's missing for me is the ability to edit clip length and then share them like the old app on pc, because doing it on an xbox itself is an absolute pain. Update years later: clips can be edited! Too bad it crashes when I try to Edit: it has been 3 years and clip editing still crashes!
2024-11-29 | Deus Mentis | I can't sign in on the Xbox app that I've been using on my Galaxy S21 for a couple of years now. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and to no avail I continue to get the same message displayed within the app "Enter the code on your TV", but there is no code, and I cant sign in. This makes it a hard task to access clips and screenshots off of my console through the app. I paid for the Xbox Series X and every game I own digitally or on disc. Accessing the app shouldn't be a mission impossible.
2024-11-29 | Stephen Beaudoin | Disappointed! I upgraded my longtime gold membership to ultimate for the mobility almost 2 years ago to not have a big screen on with a sleeping partner. At home, on my phone, I can play my games on the xbox just fine through the local wifi. Away, not always so because of connections. Wasn't this one of the points of cloud gaming? Now, cloud is removed. I thought Microsoft was moving away from the need for hardware? Shameful to promote something to take it away. Grounded to the box again!
2024-11-28 | John McDevitt | This app doesnt even open half the time. The Gamepass app directs you to this app now, but it has none of the same functions. The entire point of the Gamepass app is that it's a cloud gaming portal. I can look at the Gamepass catalogue anywhere, you can't reliably stream games with this app. Additionally, you cant change anything about your account at all. The site is beyond broken. I tried to gift a 1-month sub and it kept getting changed to 3 months at check out. Website times out constantly.
2024-11-26 | Ellyseo Metcalf | The gamepass app was perfect. They consolidated it into this, and now there's no option for cloud gaming. I do not own an Xbox, I just use cloud gaming. You can see where this might be a problem. Support has been no help, the app is glitched. It's ok though, Microsoft is a small company that's still learning
2024-11-24 | Steve DeBellis | UPDATE: The migration of cloud streaming to this app left behind touch controls (NOT the on screen controller).. WHY? Leaves a lot to be desired. The polish on the surface is nice but once you start using it you immediately see the cracks. The app always misreports all of my consoles power status and remote download never works correctly even if I'm sitting in front of the console signed in on the same network.
2024-11-21 | Austin Worley | Great app! I've played remotely on my phone, even without a controller! It is so fun to play games like Diablo 2, and I rarely have issues even though my connection is 2.4 when it suggests 5G. A small fix I'd suggest is to make the basic controls mimic the xbox controller less because I feel like it would give a better reaction time, and reaction time is everything in a game.
2024-11-20 | Juan Aponte | The dedicated gamepass app was removed. You are driven to use the consolidated Xbox app. As of November 2024 cloud streaming is not working in the Xbox or Xbox beta app . The only options available are to install to console. The Only way to play a game via cloud is through the browser. In the current state of Xbox this is unacceptable. You take away a perfectly functioning application capable of streaming games via cloud (gamepass app) and the replacement doesn't work (xbox app) .
2024-11-18 | SteampunkPagan (niteman69) | Does not include clubs, does not give notifications from clubs nor have club search. Clubs are a very important part of gaming... From looking for a group, finding others on to play with, sharing screenshots/clips to learning character set-up/builds & more. That after all this time they have not been added after promises that they would makes little sense.
2024-11-17 | Julianne Mercer | I downloaded the app to cancel my subscription because I didn't have access to my actual xbox at the time. The process was really complicated and frustrating for no reason. Why can't you just add a cancel subscription button?😠Customer service is useless if I contact them for my issue now. I've accidentally paid for a month of services that I can't use, and I couldn't even ask for a refund. At this point, I'm going to sell my xbox to make up for the wasted money. |
