2024-11-18 | Meta Self | Still absolutely TERRIBLE after YEARS of developer opportunity to fix. Chops off the borders of EVERY image EVERY TIME without fail, even on white 8 1/2" x 11" paper placed on a black surface with good lighting. We will NOT waste our time retaking image after image after image just to make ONE page.
2024-11-12 | SJ P | I was at an important training presentation and wanted to use OfficeLens to capture the key overhead slides. When I opened Lens what did I get? A MS sales pitch for some irrelevant iCloud service. I couldn't stop the presenter while I sifted through MS's cheap shot advert, could I. I used the Android camera out of necessity. Microsoft - Maxi stupid.
2024-10-11 | Mark Delano | The app and functionality are amazing. However, ever single time I open the app now, it makes me sign in over and over. Thankfully, I can back out of the sign in screen and it still works, but it takes an additional minute for everything to boot because of the sign in glitch, and it is extremely annoying
2024-10-06 | Yakob Yoseph | One of the best scanner apps. I'm surprised it can do so many things. Document, Whiteboard, QRcodes, you name it. It also gives you the option to convert your scan into many different file types like images and word docx instead of just pdf. I rarely, if ever, leave reviews on Playstore but I really admire this app so I say thank you to the developers at Microsoft. Edit: Still a great app but I recently encountered a problem where the QR Code Scanner doesn't work at all. Please fix this issue.
2024-09-25 | L G Lambert | Truly terrible! I scanned a few documents and checked to make sure the app was working correctly, and it was so I proceeded to scan many more for over an hour. None of those can be accessed. I can see them in the lens app, however, they cannot be opened or seen in One Note. It is infuriating and I do not recommend this app at all.
2024-07-15 | T | Had used for years. Now Dark Programming App. MS auto logged me in from MS app that I recently "only" added a microsoft email to. Then, instead of allowing saving to my phone as a PDF like usual, you tried to upload the scanned document to the froze/deleted OneDrive associated with the account. Won't allow me to sign out until I restart the app & "update" my privacy settings to send you my data. Then you want me to pay you for OneDrive. Lastly, won't save to the phone as a single multipage PDF.
2024-05-26 | Curt Aumiller | Used to love this app and was actively promoting it to friends. I’ve noticed a drop in quality lately capturing documents. I’ve noticed edges furthest from camera are more out of focus and now recently trying to capture pics in documents mode is slightly more out of focus vs photo mode. I wish you continued to develop this app further. It’s essentially the same app for the past 10+ years. Have a capture mode minus filters of any kind. Kind of a no-brainer.
2024-04-21 | Henrique Mota | I used this app since July of last year. There's some thing bad that happened a few months ago, perhaps after an update. The previews are entirely inconsistent with the pdfs that are generated. The edges just eventually go crazy and look horrendous, missing completely the purpose of margin adjustment the app seems to do. It's very sad of what happened to this app. I think it's time for Microsoft to improve the quality control of this software. It is really awful and below their standards.
2024-04-14 | Keil Hubbard | Cannot cancel a Scan, bigger problem now that 80+% come out much blurrier than before the September update, on the same Samsung S22+. Once you click the shutter and set the borders, you cannot cancel the scan no matter how bad or blurry it is, you are forced to follow all the way through to save/ upload the file to delete later by going to another app. This was great before the latest update, but I reccomend starting to look for alternatives. (5 stars on prev version, 2 stars now)
2023-09-07 | Cole Robison | Absolute best app for scanning papers and making PDFs. Easy upload to Google Drive, too. I'm so pleased with this app. There is an issue, though. Sometimes when I scan 0ages to make a pdf they look fine in the preview, then after I tap done, the resulting pdf has pages which are slightly rotated with strange artifacts. Very frustrating. |
