2024-07-21 | malkavianfreak | Great app, when it lists your reference. Annoying app when you have five images to try and grab the colours from, and none show in app until two days later. Bought full version in hopes it will change things but sadly, no difference. Love hate relationship right now.
2024-07-12 | Donna May | Works well. After watching the ad, you are supposed to get a 3rd color. This never shows. I just canceled the option. Choosing your brand pencil is a plus! It's a great help in choosing colors.
2024-03-14 | EvilMP | Exceptional Colored Pencil Picker, this app has taken the guess work out of figuring out which colors to use as a novice to this medium. This app is pretty solid and hasn't crashed on me at all. Best time saver out there when it comes to colored pencil drawings.
2023-06-12 | Tia | Very handy tool. It can be a little sensitive sometimes, but it definitely helps that they include the "target shade" along with the color that your pencil combinations will create. I use this app often and really enjoy it. I will be purchasing the paid version soon.
2023-05-22 | Erika Fankhauser | Sometimes I have difficulty choosing color schemes for my coloring pages, so what I often end up doing is looking at other colorists finished results on the same picture and use theirs as a reference. That's where using the Colored Pencil Picker app comes in handy. This app makes it incredibly easy to figure out which colors were used, and the creator has included most of the top pencil brands on the market. For me this app is so helpful, I don't know what I'd do without it. ✏️📚
2022-08-23 | Cassandra Seidenstricker | It's an okay app, but it doesn't include the Prismacolor Premier 72 set of pencils nor Castle Arts pencils I primarily use. I am not paying $8 to get unlimited color matches when I can do that for free with my own eyes. I have been doing it quite well without help and my clients have been happy.
2021-09-03 | Shari Small | Thank you for this great app! I use it to try new combinations when I am stuck with my drawings. The app does more than simply suggest the "closest" shade in your collection, which is what I anticipated. It gives you a layering combination of two or three colors for each point, and shows you the approximate shade you will get alongside the original shade from your photo. I was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of this app!
2021-08-10 | Jim Gilbert | Works great. Recommended for beginners to learn the different mix recipes. TIP: The last color in any 3 color mix will most likely be used to lighten or darken the mix. That's not always the case, but even with 150 different pencils there are a limited number of 3-color mix combinations that will produce a new color.
2021-04-30 | GaudiFanYAY | Hello there! This app is so awesome and helpful to use when mixing colours. I would absolutely love to see this tool developped to it's fullest potentual, with multiple brands of colours available and so on. I do hope that each brand will not be limited to only a few product lines, but that they will soon feature all of the ranges. Takes Derwent. I have the Coloursoft set, but this app doesn't cover that product. I would love to see it some day. The reason for why I do not give it 5 stars is because I think it still needs more work (e.g. more brands and product lines, possibly including all mediums from wax and oil to graphite, pastel and watercolour even (altho I think prioritizing lightfast colour ranges first would be prefferable). A feature that also would help make gradients would also be nice to have) but also more specific guidelines (such as how to understand a 1:2:2 ratio adn other combinations than the ones given, and an instruction of when you can burnish/blend the area). I hope this app will see some more love and new features soon. It's too wonderful to drop.
2021-04-13 | Dennis Thomason | I just started using this app, and it's just what I've been looking for. Choosing and mixing colors is always an iffy adventure, but this app helps me to see what colors are appropriate. QUESTION FOR DEVELOPERS: Is there a way to incorporate 2 or more pencil brands at the same time? (e.g., Polychromos and Luminance) |
