2024-11-08 | Shay McCaw | Fun game and excellent app! Local pass and play option for playing with friends. A wonderful piece of history to interact with. It was lost to the world for nearly 2 millennia, and, just a few years ago, the instructions were found. So, play this, and imagine a couple of people drinking beer and playing it in a tavern along one of the streets of Babylon.
2024-09-27 | Joseph J. Prioli | I was stuck between a 4 and a 5... I would have loved to say 4.9! Nothing is perfect, but I get a lot of enjoyment out of this game. There are some circumstances where I have (in similar circumstances) correctly predicted the exact sequence of rolls that the opposing (AI or algorithm) player will get ... repeatedly, strike that, REGULARLY. But I still enjoy the game, and I find that it's UI is pretty good, sensible. I really like that I see the author very involved here.
2024-04-12 | Travis Arnold | I've been playing this game on my PC for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it. Graphics are good and no lagging and no ads during game play thus far. Thanks for making the android version. I also downloaded ancient games version as well and look forward to learning some more games similar to Ur.
2023-12-26 | Halbert Walston | Update: It appears to be a hiccup in the ad engine display. One out of every twenty or so games seems to successfully load an ad, then things progress normally. ------- Fun enough, but after every game, I have to force close the app. The words "Game Over" appear, then fade out. Then the blank background image is the only thing shown until force closed.
2023-04-28 | pink candy | Options are Finkel and Walker? WTH is that? The layout is clunky (only 1 token shows until you roll and move, then more appear out of nowhere), didn't see any rules and this version was new/confusing based on another I've been playing for years (fairly straightforward, traditional, ancient rules). The wooden board option was attractive, but thar's where it ended fir me. I uninstalled after 2 moves.
2022-05-01 | Joe Fette | AI has an unreasonable advantage in dice rolls. In my last three games the AI rolled dozens of 3's and 4's while I could only get 1 and 0. In tight situations the computer gets EXACTLY what it wants. Whenever I knock a piece off the computer (almost) always gets a 3 to rebound whereas I usually get a 1. Very disappointing because I was very excited to see Ur in an app. Developer seems very involved with reviews so I'm hopeful I will get an explanation for this.
2021-10-14 | Mouthwash | Wonderful theme and atmosphere in this app. The game itself is fun and easy to learn but gets repetitive after too much playtime, not as deep as some other board games, but still feels fresh by the next day. There are some bugs regarding the unlockable content - twice after completing a game it's told me that I unlocked the Aphrodisias board, which I didn't actually unlock. It also appears you cannot buy other dice sets at all; I wasted 1500 coins trying. It's only cosmetics, but still...
2021-09-28 | Patrick Haubeil | I'm convinced that at least within AI matches, the tetrahedron rolls are not perfectly random. I am able to predict rolls way too often. The AI too often conveniently rolls enough to knock my pieces off or get to the flowers. It's also exceptionally rare for me to go first in a game. I like the game a lot, but sometimes it feels rigged. I should not be able to predict what the AI rolls so much as I do.
2021-08-18 | Achilleus Petreas | UPDATE: I emailed Sullivan and he fixed it right away for me. Very nice dude and really cares about his work and to make it right. Awesome! I absolutely loved this app but when I uninstalled it and reinstalled it (wanted a new user name and start from scratch) the title screen was blank with just the FAQ and Private Policy showing. I uninstalled and reinstalled dozens of times and the same thing happened when I downloaded Senet. Only XII Scripta worked. Such a bummer because it was great!
2021-02-25 | Sarah Beth | It's a good app, but the updates are terrible. The game is slow, the pieces hover above the board, and I lost most of my progress. Also when I get towards the end of the board and roll a four, the game won't let me move my piece. Very disappointed because I really like this app and I don't want to delete it. |
