None of the groups I've joined, events I attended, things I'm interested in and messages won't load. I've been using meet up on and off since 2014 and you'd never be able to tell outside of my profile pic. Which, when clicked on, says I don't have but clearly shows on the homepage. |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | The recent updates are horrible! I get notifications for every event for every single group I'm in... Multiple times. I go in to update notifications and it takes me to the app notification settings in my phone's settings. I want to get notified about the events I'm attending and messages, not every single event in every group! I have some apps that host multiple events per day, so that's a LOT of unwanted annoying notifications. And putting EVERYTHING behind a paywall is ridiculous. DO BETTER! |

Other than that the app is good but every time you click on somebody that you can't see it pops up with a notification to join Meetup Plus, you can still x out of it and see the person or thing you're trying to see but it is irritating. How about one notification when we open up the app and let us close out of it? |
| 2024-11-11 |  | | Been using meetup for almost 10 years and it has honestly changed my life for the better in multiple ways: meeting great people, making long lasting friendships, getting healthier/fit, and going places I never thought I'd go or never heard of domestically and abroad offering some of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Unfortunately using the app gets worse and worse every single time it gets acquired and worthless features are added and beneficial ones discarded. |

I do receive notifications for new discussions that are posted. I posted this issue to Meetup support and received a reply from an AI bot. All four (4) common things to check are already set up correctly. To me, this issue coincided with Meetup's new paid subscription service. Why pay when the app is cludgy. |

The sad part is, typically apps get better over the years but meet up app has gotten worst. Very annoying. Also loading your profile picture. If you delete an old one, it still may show up :( ... how can it get worse, we'll it did. Requesting money every time is crazy. |

An all new low for Meetup. User experience is clearly not driving decisions within this organization, although it's spun to make it appear that way to the public. |

The ability to add guests (for the Organizer) is suddenly being curtailed, causing needless difficulties tracking the number of people attending or attended. The App needs to focus more on making things more convenient for the Organizer & Users, rather than promoting the company. Finally, tech support is TERRIBLE. There is no number to call/discuss/complain even after waiting endlessly for email response |

I cannot click on user (it says unexpected error occurs). Some of this is behind pay wall but some are just bugs. Many organizers have left within the last couple weeks. The app went downhill so quickly, it's so sad. |

But the app itself is buggy, frequently freezes or doesn't load, and they recently put many features behind paywall: seeing new ppl attending events (makes new ppl/events awkward not knowing name/face, maybe even dangerous), seeing groups ppl are in (makes discovery difficult). The paid user ad pops up Every.Single.Time you look at attendees and many other things. After 2min on the app I just got the popup 6 times. |
