2024-12-02 | SLW1995 | I have been with Ava two years. It started out good but now the subscription listing is misding and I cannot add new subscriptions, not even my cell phone. The Ava card keep denying subscriptions My spending limit is $170. I am only using $60 in subscription at the moment. I have sent several emails but keep getting a generic response and their is no phone number to call. This is ridiculous. I may have to let it go. UPDATE: The issue has been fixed since this Review.
2024-11-23 | decidoo doodle | Once I finally got an account linked I was approved and then my card was immediately locked. They were sure to take my $10 that was supposed to be $9 for the monthly fee.First off the advertisement is very misleading it's not for a credit building card it's to pay for subscription services. Once approved my card was immediately locked and when I asked for the account to be closed and my $10.54 refunded I was told it wouldn't happen. Very unprofessional very false and misleading extremely unhappy
2024-11-03 | F C | I was suddenly hit with a $72 charge after paying both my Ava accounts for over a year. What in the world? The support chat option has disappeared from their app. All I could do is send an email. I may have to dispute the charge with my bank if they don't respond. But they owe me back my entire $300 deposit if I have to close the account. Very frustrating. I can't recommend Ava anymore. This is not a safe or trustworthy company. Please save your money and avoid Ava.
2024-05-15 | jamie | I initially gave this app a low review, but after I encountered some issues and had to reach out to their customer support team, I was impressed, very impressed with how they handled my issue. My initial low review was due to how the automatic payments process. I actually do recommend this all however. And it really does help your credit.
2024-03-28 | Rohit Goswami | Charged more than the advertised price. Support says this is algorithmic and can't be changed. They don't have an option to cancel and keep the membership for as long as you paid (1 year). Can't use the virtual card for Netflix because it doesn't support 3DS. Utter waste of 84$. The only way to get it reporting is to sign up for another subscription, ICloud+ is 1$/month. Edit: excess charge was refunded, updated to 3 stars, hoping to see this report soon
2024-03-24 | AJK | 03/23/24 New UI and font size look way better. Amazing update! This app provides two very legitimate trade lines to "all 3 credit bureaus". This is not a quick one month fix for people who have bad credit. The customer service will respond, but they are not necessarily fast. I think if people use this app correctly, it does provide good mix of credit, payment history and good score improvements over time. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to improve their credit over time.
2024-02-08 | Johnnie Johnson | Got 2 stars because I feel like like some very important things are left out before you pay $9 a month. 1. If you get approved for the $2500, you only get access to $25 of it to start. There doesn't appear to be some timeline for what is unlocked and how long to the next amount or what you need to do for it. 2. You can only use the credit for an approved list of "recurring subscription" companies, although there are a few cable and cell phone companies listed. Everything else will be denied.
2024-01-04 | Mike Nichols | I used this app for all of one minute because it turned out to not be what I was looking for. Paid for a full month, requested a refund since I cancelled pretty much immediately, and was told no, they don't offer free trials, and account creation incurs costs, insane. I would suggest any other app Google recommends under this one, but steer clear of ava. You'll pay more for less, without any possibility of a refund, I would give zero stars if I could.
2023-11-24 | Laurent Davis | im editing this review as customer support is no help. i already paid for the current month of $21 and now they charged me $54 out of nowhere. This app does help credit a little bit but i would have been better off using this money to pay back my credit card than all the issues I've been having with paying on time because of issues with the app and issues with them taking funds out of my checking account for a bogus charge.
2023-10-12 | Trixt3r | I have tried to cancel several times now through the app. It gets all the way to the page that tells me it's going to cancel, with the only option is for me to press "confirm". I press it, and the app sends me back to the precious page to hut cancel, then "confirm" again. I emailed to get them to cancel for me, and I was told to just do it on the app. So I would not recommend this app to anyone because one they get your bank info, they will never let go. You'll have to change banks. |
