HyperLOCAL weather this is not. No consideration for things like rain shadowing and convergence zones. Mountains matter but not with this app. Four "rain starting in..." alerts in last 6 hours and not a drop. (Hint, mountains block incoming systems). This Apple forecast data is terrible! Usually dead wrong. Also, sections STILL don't agree with each other: warning section says "heavy rain anticipated" next 2 days but hourly graph doesn't show any rain until middle of day 2! It's been over a year

It worked fine until it was updated to use Apple weather in 2024, now it gives false notifications and incorrect data. It is currently pouring rain outside, this app says there's no rain expected and the skies are clear, as well as the radar showing clear skies. This is consistently an issue, though even a broken clock is correct twice a day. All the other apps express the correct weather, this issue is only with the hyperlocal weather app.

Used to be a very accurate weather app for years until Apple bought Dark Sky, and was still one of the better free apps after that, up until the most recent updates. The ads are so incredibly intrusive when switching tabs that it makes it so slow and obnoxious to use, I'd rather use any other less accurate app. Remove the full screen video ads and I'll happily re-evaluate. Response to devs: Ads are fine as banners on the side and such, full screen ads that block / inhibit app use aren't.

I have been using this app a while it has been pretty useful. I paid for premium to support the app. However I just started getting ads again today - huge full screen intrusive ads. I get a message to join premium which clearly says "All payments are one time purchase not subscription" - but when I click on it says my payment expired. So it seems misleading that the payment is 'one time' but still expires? The severe weather alerts are also pretty noisy in the past

No Longer Happy With This App. This was recommended a few months ago and I decided to try it. My biggest gripe is that the temperature on the status bar does not update and does not show the current temperature. I have to actually open the app to see the current temperature. The 'On-going Notification' feature does not update like it should. What is the point of providing a feature that does not function properly. Advertisements are annoying as well. No paid app for me. !!!Time To Delete!!!

I update and suddenly I get full screen ads. The banner ads were enough, I'm not playing games where I get a reward, I just want to see the forecast. This creates incentive to find a new app, not to subscribe. I don't care about the ads if they're not intrusive to my experience, but taking over my whole screen isn't cool.

I get the "To keep working on this free app we need ads" thing, but there is a big difference between a few ads and full screen, unskippable, video ads. You also have reports of people getting fake "Android update" ads, meaning you went with the lowest common ad supplier, and likely have zero say over the type of ads. Basically, you've opened up all your users to possible malware. Uninstalled as I feel the devs can't be trusted anymore.

Been having issues this is the 2nd time in a year this has done this to me. I have un-installed and reinstalled and can not get it to work this time. Very sad this app was the best I had ever found for being correct on weather. If someone has any suggestions I will take them. I run Android and app is up to date.

Yeah, devs have pushed it too far with intrusive full-screen ads. The quickest option is to force-quit the app once the ad pops up and reload it, and that's just to access the basic functions of the app. That's intolerable. If you aren't making enough with the free version, just get rid of it. If the app was good enough for people to want to pay for it, then you wouldn't need to make your free user experience miserable.

I love this app, I've used it for years. However, starting with a recent update, the home screen widget periodically goes blank (i.e.: no data displayed; it only displays ...'s & the rain symbol). Update: FIXED. I went into app manager and did a Clear Cache + Clear Data, and just for extra measure did an uninstall / reinstall. Since then, it's been 100% rock-solid.
