2024-12-04 | Matthew Hicks | Works well. The UI is a bit lacking, but it's manageable. It just has a slight learning curve. Worth paying for, especially for the Tasker integration.
2024-12-04 | Derek Christensen | Doesn't work with Tasker unless the app is on the screen. Seems like Android is killing it or something in the background, but there is no app permission to turn that off in Android 15. I have it set to "Allow Background Usage" but it doesn't help.
2024-11-30 | D DADSWELL | This app doesn't work properly for me when things are switched off it shows that they're on I can't trust it for things like heating where it could potentially cost me a fortune if it doesn't work properly
2024-05-06 | Dave Williams | Every once in awhile you install an app that is near perfect. This one is. I can control devices from Tasker for cryin out loud! Three caveats: 1) This app shows up as a device in Alexa, noted as unresponsive. So I deregistered it and had to reinstall this app. Don't do that! 2) To manually turn things on & off, I launch this app. This app should start in select only mode, with a menu pick to enter edit mode. 3) The widgets are ugly. But I don't need them so I don't care 😀
2023-08-20 | Steve Wagner (Scuba Steve) | Makes what should be easy actually possible. Now I've got a tablet with a full page plus of the most common Alexa tasks to click on. I especially like that you can chain 2 or more routines together in a single button. That makes life a lot easier. Gripes, and I did find things to moan about, but nothing major. 1. It can be casual in its performance. Nothing horrible, but it is noticable at times. On the other hand, it makes things happen at a human speed. All in all this is solid.
2023-04-11 | Harold McLaughlin | The GREATEST! One of my favorite automation tools. I use this on a page of my phone screen for a custom control panel to control anything in the house. Perfect for late night when you don't want to shout Alexa commands. Use png images for nice icons! In years it's almost never failed. So simple yet so useful!
2022-12-21 | Barry Foxworth | All Alexa devices are pretty much 4 star in ratings. With so many devices and usages it's hard to determine which apps are top rated for your needs. This app is so busy with so many options it's rather confusing to me to set up to work. It doesn't mean it's a bad app, it's just that I've spent so much time getting absolutely nothing accomplished! So I'm passing on this one. Good luck for those with more patience than me.
2022-11-05 | Evan Al-Chokhachy | Product has failed for months in its ability to import its own backups. Author is aware but has not resolved problem. Constantly getting integration errors like "Amazon Music is not supported on this device" when executing valid Alexa commands which work without error in the Amazon Alexa App or via vocal commands given to an Echo Show devices.
2022-07-24 | James Glinn | I bought this app (pro version) for my Amazfit GTR3 pro, when used with the Notify for Smart Watches (pro version) you can run Alexa routines on your watch at the tap of a button. Also as a standalone app Buttons for Alexa is very good. Just note that when adding your buttons to the phones screen add them like any other Widget not from within the app. The free version is very limited but gives you a taste.
2022-05-05 | John P | I tested the trial version then paid for the full version. It does exactly what it says, so now I can have home screen icons for Alexa commands or routines. The Alexa app requires three taps vs one with this. It's perfect when I have to be quiet. I had a slight problem figuring it out since I use a dark theme with black background, and the icon and foreground for icons were both set to black resulting in invisible buttons. Once I started setting colors before creating a button, no problems. |
