2024-11-23 | TRĘĘNUGS117 | Like plenty of others have mentioned this is the best music player on Android, I've been using the app since 2012 and it's rarely disappointed me, I've ran through 15-20 devices at this point since I first downloaded the app and most of the time it was a great experience, some of the cheaper phones had launch issues and would crash but I'm currently using this on a pixel 8a and it's all good. Everything from the visuals to eq/tone adjustments are perfect for the modern day music listener
2024-11-12 | Sean Nielsen | Should be the default music app; I can't believe Samsung or Google hasn't bought it! I've been using Poweramp for 11 years, except for the short period of time it wasn't updated and stopped working on new devices. I've found nothing better and can't imagine how it could be any better. Beautiful interface, options beyond compare, surprisingly simple to use. So many advanced features and it just WORKS! JRiver for PC, PA for Android. Don't ever go away again, it was like going through a divorce.
2024-11-04 | Philip Carwin | I've been using this app for over 6 or 7 years, I believe, and it truly is fantastic! I don't know the limitations it has on equalizer settings, but for everything I connect my phone to, I have a setup for these. My phone has my entire music library of over 9k songs, and I use it every day while I travel. There are also the fractals that can be made active. Fantastic!
2024-10-28 | Shelby Payton | Since my old review got deleted apparently, what's up with the new update, it wiped all my settings and won't read my music files? I've been using this app since it first came out on the market and I've had more trouble with it this year than I ever have. Used to never have any issues playing music, now it's wanting to randomly forget my settings and can't read the same music files I've been listening to for years with this app?
2024-10-16 | Josh | It's such a great design feature that if you dare to open the settings while you don't have an internet connection the app will attempt to validate your unlock license, fail, and brick the app until you reconnect to the internet. If I hadn't been using this app for years and paid for the unlock license I would have dropped it over this. 4 hours in the air with no music because I didn't have a backup player installed (just file manager).
2024-10-13 | Mark Barsalou | I've used it over a decade. EQ options help with mediocre headphones definitely. Preamp boost/level control is a plus. Can save settings for each different set of headphones or speakers used, sound quality is audiophile worthy. Great library control. With bluetooth, Android's extend lock saves you from unlocking a lot. WAY TOO MANY serious settings for me, but it's more than tweakable for those who must, or it can be mostly left alone. I choose folders to scan, disable visuals, etc. Worth the $
2024-10-09 | SR DJR | Garbage! This app is designed to play local files. It is not a streaming app. So why must I be connected to the Internet to use it? I'm ten minutes into my 60 minute commute to work and the app stops playing because it needs to do a licensing check to continue. Of course this requires an internet connection Fortunately I had the native Hiby music app on my DAP. Do not waste your money on the full version. It doesn't matter how good the UI and features are if you can't play music.
2024-10-08 | Mihail ZX | I had this app for years and maybe over 10 different phones and it always works flawlessly. I put it on a Google pixel 8 Pro and the Music Stops or pauses every time I close the screen or every time I turn the screen on. I made sure that the app has stopped priority in the battery and any kind of power-saving is an exception for this app I used the Wake lock option in the app itself I don't even know what else to try and he's very frustrating
2024-10-05 | Haris Wu | I gave a one-star review to alert the developer that the latest version has problems with Bluetooth headsets. In 90% of cases, there is no sound output. The headset model is Galaxy buds3 pro and the phone Android version is 14. Roll back to 984 build, the problem is solved. Hope it will be solved as soon as possible. Thank you for your hard work.
2024-09-30 | Dusty Notsinneh | *Update, performing a full uninstall and reinstall fixed the issue. This is a great app that supports many audio codecs. I have had an issue lately. When I shuffle my entire library it keeps playing only one artist. It's weird because it says its a playlist, but I dont have any playlists. I've cleared the app data and cache, but it keeps doing it. |
